Taking it slow, fellas · 7:04pm Oct 30th, 2013
So, the shipping one-shot was uploaded and everything was fine. Now, following my schedule, I'll write the next TSFS update and then the Daring DONE! sequel.
Buut, of course, there are complications.
Let me explain: my midterms are starting, and I need to maintain my score high because if I don't do that a shark will eat me or something. Which means that I need time to study and time to relax. It also means that I'll get a lot of ideas, because when you need to concentrate on something serious you suddenly become an expert in thinking about ponies. Like, seriously.
But that's a good thing, right? I can write while I have exams (although slower than usual), as long as I know what to do. But, you see, the next TSFS update is going to be hard.
Hard as in very hard. Like, extremely hard. I've spent hours brainstorming for the next update, and believe me when I say that countless good ideas had to be thrown away because they didn't work. Now it seems like I kind of have something to work with, finally, so the worst part is over. But now I need to write it.
And this is going to be a job more suited to a surgeon than a writer. Everything has to be planned to the diddly-doodly last detail, and I hate that. Usually I improvise a little within every chapter, and now if I do that I have to rewrite the entire thing.
So long story short, next update is complicated. Which means that even though I'm working on it right now, it will be a long wait. Which honestly sucks, because it's been ages since TSFS updated for the last time, but I can't really do anything else.
This, of course, means that the Daring DONE! sequel may be delayed... or may be out sooner than expected. Because, you see, it's perfectly possible for me to take a break on TSFS from time to time to rest my head, and I may end up writing something else while I'm on it. And that something else can be anything, and if I feel like writing Daring DONE! 2 then I'll write Daring DONE! 2. It sure will be easier than TSFS right now.
So yeah. Long story short: wait a couple weeks because this thing is hard as heck. It'll be worth the wait, I hope.
See ya!
As someone with a ton of stories ongoing and little time to write them, I say take it easy and go at your own pace, bro. We'll still be waiting patiently here for ya!
Delays? Noooes, I want 'em nao!
Oh well, I guess not everypony is not in studying anymore, take your time - no need to rush, especially if it could affect the quality :-).
If it's worth the wait (what I'm 100% sure of already) then you can take your time to make the TSFS update. You did an awesome job on all the other updates until today so I'm sure you will make the next ones just as good if not better! Maybe I'll reread TSFS in the meantime. Always worth a reread in my opinion
