So I haven't heard back from Hobbes in a number of weeks, and I'm not sure if my other go-to artist even has web access even more, and CSIMadmax probably isn't going to take other commission of mine (because all I could give her to work with was a description, not a reference image, and besides, I want someone different). I know "Planet Hell" is a long away from a final draft -- so long, in fact, that it doesn't even have a proper title, just a project name -- but I want to start establishing a rapport with an artist who can take my commission. My standards are rather high and picky, but if you know of any artists who are taking commissions and have a dark and beautiful style (or just plain majestic) and can do amazing backgrounds (this last one is a must), let me know. I've spent so much time on this project, so note two things before you make a suggestion: 1) I'll pay what I have to for this cover image (by that I mean no more than $80), and 2) this artist should be someone who considers him/herself a professional; my work isn't something I'm willing to compromise on and I won't be happy with any artist who doesn't feel the same about his/her own art.
Please please please let me know if you have any idea of someone who might fit the bill!

Thank you all for the suggestions! Out of the artists who I tried to contact, I only heard back from SilFeo, so chances are I'm probably going to commission the cover image from her. It's going to be an expensive, but I don't care, I want an amazing image for my novel.
