Btw, I figured that the brown areas are actually mountainous areas, and not deserts.
Which is perfectly fine by me. ^_^

The donut world applies when you travel to the north, and come out from the south end. Like, if I went to see Santa, and ended up at the set of Happy Feet.

So does Equestrian Earth cover the entire world right now? Or would it just cover Equestria? And then areas like Magistrum, Badlands, Eagleland etc would slowly come out later as expansions?
If It does only cover Equestria at this moment, I want a zoomed in version of the continent so that I can split it up into zones like a real MMO.

EDIT: Oh, and you can cut off part of the badlands for sake of efficiency, I'll just put an arrow pointing to badlands and we can all assume that's the endgame content where you need to be in a raid group just to survive going from one end to the other (not even mentioning trying to go into dungeons).

Of course, Equestrian Earth has way many more places than what's on there. Oh, and there's no Badlands in the right bottom corner.
1316315 I'm going to label things similarly to the "canon" map, with some (heavy) artistic licensing. Badlands gets moved to where you have it now and such. Most of my story (so far) takes place in the mid-eastern heartlands and I'm moving farther east towards the coast in the next few chapters, so those areas will get the most work done by me. (I have vague yet solid ideas of what the heck I'm doing)
I'll try to re-read through your story while I'm doing this to mark locations and cause as few continuity errors as possible.

I just hope you're willing to commit a little cause I know how hard it can be to think about the layouts of the maps. You gotta think about what towns to put in, and if it'll be okay to put a town there.
For MMORPGS, you gotta think about the dungeons and the special areas and the bosses.
If we go further, we're going to have to think about sea routes and stuff because that is how players can reach other lands (other than by walking).
1316348 Well I'm intentionally going to some of the map sparse, with just villages and names and brief descriptions describing what's there. That way other writers can take those areas and do something with them themselves, and I'll add the dungeons and locations later on from what they write. I figure, hey, dungeons gotta be discovered, don't they? I might throw in a few extra dungeons but not go into any great detail about them.
I figure every zone will probably have (on average) two dungeons and early-level zones (I'll color-code the borders for zone difficulty) will most likely have a town each. With how big the map is (and how big equestria probably is assuming a conventional planet size) I'm seeing an easy 20 zones to split up, possibly 25.

I know this doesn't happen so fast, but if "Terra" (What I call the planet) is similar to Earth, then there are tectonic plates.
Since EE takes place in the distant past, the Badlands should be in a different place than were they are in the Canon map. I agree with this world map because of this reason.
