Good morning everypony!

This morning, I noticed that there are groups offering proofreading and editing for writers. I am all for that; having your story looked over by someone with a high degree of knowledge and skill with regards to grammar and language mechanics is always a good idea if you are unsure of your own abilities.

However, time is a valuable commodity, and proper editing of a story, especially a fairly long story, is a time-consuming endeavor. Yet while artists and to a lesser extent writers are not only expected but ENCOURAGED to provide their services on a paid basis, editors are just expected to give freely of their time as though they don't matter.

If you have a story which you would like edited and are having a difficult time getting an editor in one of the established groups to aid you, or if you simply want to ensure your work is edited by someone with a very high level of skill, come to me. I will edit any story you wish, with no restrictions on what it is. I will also edit things that are not fanfiction.

But I do not work for free.

My rate for editing commissions is $5 per 1,000 words.

Obviously, this does not apply to my reading/proofreading/providing comments on a work of my own volition, but to cases where an author specifically seeks out and requests my services.
