The New Blog · 5:20am Jul 1st, 2013
So this is kind of an introductory post to what's gonna be going on with blog posts 'round here.
Yes, I did delete every last post I had, for there was nothing worth saving in there. The blog posts on my profile will no longer be used for anything except for things that people might actually find useful (along with only the important updates about my stories). The pony community has given me a lot over the past year and a half (or however long it's been), like some new friends, some awesome readers, and hey, even the best boyfriend in the world. So I thought it was time to give something back. I'm going to be using this blog to post small writing guides every now and then in hopes of helping those that seek or need it. Now of course, a lot of things have been covered that you could just Google search (things like pacing, structuring, what have you), so I thought of a few things that might not have been gone over at all or thoroughly enough. Below are a few that I'm working on for the future. Lemme know if they're guides you'd like to read more about!
-Ponies, Guns and You: A Guide to Writing Firearms in Ponyfiction
-Starting From Scratch: A Guide to Writing Original Characters
-Pony Vectors: A Video Tutorial on Vectoring
That last one doesn't belong on this site really, but I get most of my vector requests from here so there you go. But... yeah! That's it! Just guides and major updates from now on. Lemme know what you guys think!
...Well, I guess I could also talk about the subtle changes in the descriptions of the Riflepony Series, but I guess you all can just figure that out for yourselves~
I is can help?
for a price....
Muahahaha!
1180119 You can help for free if you want you greedy-ass bird XD But really sure if you want!

Shoot....
I was going to ask for more followers. I clearly don't have enough and it's been buggin' me.
But alllright, I'll helps for free maybe sorta sure.
Funny enough, I'm working on deleting almost all of my deviantArt journals, as well. I guess you realized the same thing as me:
NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR LIFEBut in all seriousness, a bunch of tutorials sound pretty slick. I'm trying to get all my animator circle-jerk buddies together in a Skype call to try and have a bunch of people simultaneously make a guide to animating ponies, in hopes that hilarity will ensue. Since we all use different styles and techniques and such and will probably argue the whole time, there wouldn't actually be any learning, but you never know.
Glad to see someone else getting so much out of the fandom, though! I'll miss your regular journals if you stop making them, though, since they were pretty entertaining, but then, I always feel like my pages get cluttered with too much personal stuff, so I'm tracking.
But how can I go about my life happily without Jon's grumping to cheer me up?
On top of all that, though, I did actually get a tablet, so I need to start making static art sometime.
1180126 Yes Raven, your problem is not enough followers. That's it We'll talk about it in chat don't worry :D
1180128 ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME CRY? BECAUSE YOU ARE. Naww but really it sucks but I'm enjoying what Game Grumps has become to a great extent.
And hey I've always wanted to animate, but never had the patience for it. Maybe you guys can teach me :D

I've actually given a couple people Flash resources and emotional counseling to get them on their ways to being animators,
for the low price of their firstborn daughter's virginityfor free. Maybe I'm just an arrogant sonufagun, but I think people are better off learning from an animator as opposed to just downloading the Double Rainboom or DHX Flash resources and having at it, which is what I pretty much did.Real talk though, Dan and Arin are actually really funny together, so I'm still enjoying the new stuff. Steam Train isn't bad, either, but I'm not sure what I think of Ross.
1180151 Ross is the best kind of asshole, and that's all you need to know~
But when it comes to animating, I wouldn't be doing pony stuff myself if I learned, personally. Buuuuut maybe one little Riflepony Braeburn doing something cool wouldn't be over the line I guess ^-^

Yeah, don't animate ponies. That's the best advice I can give. I've typed up many a lengthy Internet post about why I despise animating ponies and how much I despise the majority of my audience. As soon as I'm done with this current project, I'm taking a nice, long break from animated colorful horses, except for Super Smash Ponies, but with SSP I don't really have to put up with anyone's opinions.
Fun fact of the day, Braeburn was the first pony I ever animated.
The guides sound good. I, for one, would appreciate some guidance on how to better involve firearms in my fanfic.
I would like the guides. I'm trying to figure out how to incorperate firearms in my next story and I'm kinda stuck on how to do it.
1180302 This!

1180434 PEOPLE ARE GONNA MISS THAT? AWWWWWW SHIIIET. But I guess we can keep the bumps. I assume that's what you mean by "funny crap"... maybe...
1181046 Well, I guess we'll just see what happens in the future.
