Lifes DM to you that you're a psycho

So on October 28th I suffered a stroke while at work. In denial, I stayed at work, then drove 60+ miles from Orlando to my home in Lakeland. I stayed in denial (it's just a pinched nerve) right up to the point where I lost control of my bladder and the right side of my face went numb. By that point there wasn't anything they could do to mitigate the damage. You have 4 hours people. I didn't

You'll Get It When It's Ready, But I'm Not Dead Yet. Also Sneak Peak

See title. Work is work, and not a lot of time to write. I'm still around, I'm just as tired of answering the when is the next chapter coming out question as you are of asking them. I know it's shitty, I know I've let it sit too long, but it is what it is. This is why I don't accept donations for fanfiction. It remains a hobby, and thus very low on the to do list of my wellbeing.

Update 2: Beta Editing Received, Performing Hard Edit, Finishing and Adding Omake

I've received preliminary 2nd draft copy from a beta reader. I'm currently performing my first hard read out loud edit of the whole mess. Initial reports are about what I expected. Part of the difficulty of writing this chapter is that it was always going to be a set up, explanatory type chapter. Making it interesting is a serious challenge, but I felt as though if I DIDN'T show the

New Chapter of Quantum Castaways, Rough Draft Completed, Sent to Prereaders for first Editing Pass

Hey folks. Just a quick message to anyone who still cares, I have tentatively finished the rough draft for a new chapter of Quantum Castaways. Current draft weighs in at right around 12000 words, and that WILL change as the editing process moves along. Bear in mind that it has been a long, hard road to get this material out. It is a Frankenstein nightmare of bits and pieces jumbled together

    Ethics of Fanfiction

So as everyone who pays any attention to the comments and blog posts and what have you knows, I've been having a really rough time of it. This last year has, frankly, been hell. I've had a couple of people offer to donate money, for which I am extremely grateful, but it actually brings up a topic of some interest to me.

Some Links For Ya's · 7:40am Jun 20th, 2013

Hi folks. Some enterprising individuals have taken it upon themselves to post some art for Quantum Castaways, and I thought I might share it with you all, if you're interested, of course.

TotallyNotABrony's Trek

Totallynotabrony- An interpretation of Twilight Sparkle as she stands on the verge of the desert trek from hell. I particularly like the look on her face, as she was very dubious about Marshall's methods at the beginning. While it is a little impossible, chronology wise, this picture inspired an idea in my head. Marshall now has a smart phone which can take pictures, and does anybody here think he's the sort to use that sort of tool responsibly?

No, I didn't either.

Anyway, I thought it might be interesting to have fanart in the form of a sequence of vaguely funny shots of Twilight around the island (the kind of pictures that Marshall might snap when he saw an opportunity for immortalized hilarity) along with some lolpony sort of captions. For this one, I would probably go with, "How I get out of chickenshit outfit?"

Just a thought anyway.

Vidsfreak's Magnificent Bastard

Vidsfreak - One should always remember that a readers interpretation of the written word can inspire vastly different imagery than the one in the author's head. It is fascinating to me how different the mental pictures can be, and none more so than in this interpretation of the Magnificent Bastard, which informed readers will recall is in fact a Terentatek. I should stress here that I actually like this picture, though it differs from my own interpretation. Creative diversity is fucking awesome and I encourage it. Vidsfreak's MB seems to follow the Christopher Walken philosophy of more=better, only with spikes instead of cowbell.

That's all I've got for now. If I get anymore, I will certainly post another link for you all.

I for one would love to see more interpretations of shots of island life as taken by Marshall.

Marshall taking pictures is an awesome idea! :pinkiehappy:
Sadly, I can't draw to save my life. Somepony else would have to do it. :fluttercry:

If I could art, I would totally make pictures for QC...

That's what the Magnificent Bastard was? Makes total sense in retrospect, but I thought it was a giant carnivorous rhino-beetle-thing when I read that part.
