    Update: Going to Youtube

Just letting you all know that I'm mainly switching over to YouTube and non-pony related writing. If you guys still want me to do readings of pony fanfiction, I can work that into my existing schedule. I will be going out of country to teach english in September, but I can take some recording equipment with me once that comes around and I intend to have a backlog as well of stuff to release once

It's here. Finals are upon me. Working on these as I can. Should have this done sooner than thought if I keep working at it.

Longest overdue update of my life

I kinda fell off the face of the Earth have I?

I have a long explanation but let me simplify it. I moved out on my own, got a job, bit off more than I could chew, and ended up going to work for 10-12 hours, then college, and sleeping 2-3 hours a day for 8 months. Then I woke up one day and quit, got a college loan, and now I'm caught up on my sleep. At least I think.

Therapist Visit: ABagOVicodin (For Lack of a Better Title) · 12:45am May 26th, 2013

I want your input at the bottom of this big post. If you would please stay with me, I would appreciate it.

So... when it comes to my fanfic completions, a simple glance at my stories will let you know that I am not exactly good at finishing or even going forward with my stories, especially when they are going to become tens of thousands of words, possibly more. I said a little while ago that I was going to try and finish Coltbert now that Therapist Visit is up and done. And then this came along. Followed by another story based on that, which I'm slowly writing. And then the side-stories for Therapist Visit. And... the other Visits I had in mind. Then there's the few one shot ideas I had, followed by a few other novel ideas, and the 250 fic project that I plan to do last. Long story short, I have way too many ideas, and I didn't have enough time to convey them. Even as my finals are winding down, I'm wondering if I can even finish all of the fic ideas, or if I'm just going to slowly lose my writing touch until I write tripe like The Remaining Five again.

I honestly don't even know how I managed to get onto EQD twice. I considered Coltbert to be a fluke for the longest time, and I still think that's the case, just because it's Coltbert. Who the hell doesn't want that? And then Therapist Visit got up there. I wish that was able to dispel my belief that my writing is just a fluke, but then Dash's New Mom got up on the featured box for 3-4 days. Holy. Fucking shit. Blowing Therapist Visit out of the water with merely 6-8k words, it did better than Therapist Visit in nearly every category. Favorites, likes, and the follower count that followed because of it. As much as I'd like to believe that's a fluke, I can only be in denial for so long.

For those who came because you expected some sort of status update on Dash's New Mom, rest assured that it is extremely high on my priorities. Once again, please send Bronystories a thank you for offering to share this story idea with me, and allowing me to convey it. I still think it would have been better in another's hands, but I'm sure many would disagree. Either way, every single chapter that is going to be written (I have 14 outlined, from beginning to end) will go through Bronystories' special seal of approval before it is posted, so do not think that the quality is going to fall just because I'm doing the chapters. I wrote this story not only as an interesting experiment, but because it was a fun premise and a fun idea. It still is, I guess it's just me.

I partook in Twilight Clopple's story swap due to a friend bringing it up, and after EQLA and Dash's Mother's Day, I started to work on it. I'm almost done with it. Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster that she pushed back the deadline, because the last thing I wanted to do was rush it. But, now that someone has a story up in the featured box that is pretty much the same premise as the story I had, I'm pretty much disappointed that I didn't finish it sooner. I'll finish it, it's for Twilight Clopple after all, but I don't think it's very impressive. You guys can tell me what you think in a few days.

I'll just get this out of the way. I feel like shit. Like... terrible, writer's blocked, depressed, can't even think clearly without some type of escapism shit. The ideas flow the moment I'm gone from my computer, but once I reach the keyboard and try to type it out, my words just become either cliche tripe, or fucking boring prose. I don't know what's wrong, all I know is that I fucking hate it. There. That's it. That's probably why I haven't written much lately. I don't want to subject you guys to terribly written prose. I know when I'm writing well and when I'm not, and currently, I'm not.

On a brighter side (this is the part where I would like your input), I recently won the 205 dollar fanfiction commission from Pen Stroke, the dude who's famous for Past Sins and all that. I'm allowed a 15-20k word fiction submission. The only stipulations are that they cannot be related to Past Sins (well, I think it can be, I just don't want it to be because I haven't finished it), it has to be safe for work, and it has to be a one-shot. I've debated giving him one of my story ideas to convey, but I'm not sure the story would be the same if it wasn't written by me. What do you guys think? Should I give him one of my story ideas, or think of one that I wouldn't be interested in writing, and give him that?

The last thing I want to say is, thank you. Thank every single one of you that touched my Fimfiction account in some way, whether it's a favorite on one of my stories, a comment, a follow, anything. I would have quit a long time ago if I didn't have all of your support, and I appreciate all of it. For those of you that read this, holy shit, thank you again. I'll be writing more since finals are going to be over, so I hope you enjoy what I have in store.

Until next time,
Vicodin

Hmm, is it cheating to have someone else right your planned stories?
If not then go for it, if you have a funny story idea I'd suggest that.
But, if it is cheating then give him something new. Hell make it a challenge, boil an idea down into a single concise sentence and just turn him loose.

Well, I have an idea;
1, Quite a lot of people (including myself) are waiting with bated breath for an update to Coltbert.
B, From what I can tell (It wasn't particularly well-explained and I may be misinterpreting this) you get to have Pen Stroke write a story for you/us.
Put those together, and you have drei, (Or German for three) which is, quite simply?
Have Pen Stroke write a guest chapter of the Coltbert Report. :pinkiehappy:

Take Option C: make him write a story you want to read.

I eagerly await the new chapters. :yay:

Awesome. I was right there in that EQLA charity auction when you won that commission, Vidocon.

I'm not much of a fanfic writer, so unfortunately I can't really give you advice on how to approach the Pen Stroke story. I can wish you good luck, though. Considering your combined talents, you should be fine... :pinkiehappy:
