get some poetry up in yo' face · 12:37am May 8th, 2013
cool dude Horizon has finally posted his long-awaited pony adaption of T.S. Eliot's 'The Lovesong of J. Alfred Prufrock'.
it's called Melt, and you should probably read it if only because it's a super novel attempt at transformative fiction, and because we all need more poetry up ins.
in speaking with Horizon (and helping him edit the poem), we've gotten into talks about poetry in the FiM fandom in general - i'm not gonna give anything away before the ball is rolling, but i hope to be in talks with him, AP, and a couple other poetry (ponetry) notables for something special. i guess the way to circumvent writer's block is by not writing prose at all - poetry is still cool.
anyway, check out Melt, and stay tuned to see if i can defeat the demon known as 'literary malaise' by assaulting it with lyricry - which i guess is more like moseying around it than anything else.
Ooh, ooh, ohh, ohh, ohh, can I get in on the ponetry shenanigans?

I've analyzed that poem so much. A part of me loves it, another hates it.
