In Need of Some Advice on Evolutionary Ideals, Bros. · 10:04am Apr 1st, 2013
So, Chapter 6 will have Mature, sexual content in it. I also want to release a Teen version for those who would rather avoid clop, but I'm unsure of how to go about this. Do I release two full chapters, with only the sex scene altered? Put the Mature scene as its own chapter? I'm pretty stuck, here. Any advice would help.
Thanks!
it depends on how intereral the sex s to the story. just pot it as a 'clop free' chapter 6
Where the clip scene would go in chapter six, just write the scene in Google Docs and provide a link in the story. Mark it as mature so teen readers may continue reading the story without stumbling across it.
Two chapters, the teen one just lacking the saucy parts i guess.
Or a warning before the mature parts starts and a note where it ends? if it can be done that way.
From the start you warned that the story will contain mature content "later on"

Pretty much this. If its essential to the story you can give a warning and maybe some secondhand account later of something important that happened? Otherwise you can have a clop and clop free versions of the chapter posted one after the other, with a warning at the top of the clop one so noone reads it by accident if they don't like that.
http://www.fimfiction.net/story/37836/of-maids-and-mistresses is an example of how that was used to good effect.
You know, another author I like actually released a romance-based story involving Octavia and Vinyl Scratch. While their story had no clop in it, they put clop in via a separate story involving the clop scenes.
Here's a link to their story. Coincidentally, the chapter with the added clop is the same as yours would be: Chapter 6.
They had made the clop well after the story, and chose not to make it something that fit in with the timeline in terms of 'would relate to future events'. It related a bit to past events that had occurred until then, but this was a means of reading their rendition of clop without having it being 'forced reading'.
Their means of going about it, however, relates to the clop being 'optional'. If the clop's in the middle of the story, you could always cut it out with an explained 'time laps' through a line separating the clop from the rest of the story, or using the Disclaimer Rule of "tell the reader to use ctrl+F and search for "_______" to go to the end of the clop scene.", in which the blanked-out text would be the first word, or series of words, of the very first line of the very first paragraph after the scene takes place.
You have plenty of means at your disposal! Others have already posted good ideas, after all!
Add the clop as it is.
Don't really have anything more to say than that.
It is already submitted as [Mature] [sex] so why do anything else
