Anyone want to be a proof reader? · 11:29am Feb 22nd, 2013
I'm a terrible proof reader. Up to now I've relied on my wife, who is a very good proof reader, but she's a little bit tired of the ponies and has other things to be doing anyway, so she's not been keeping up with it as anyone who's seen the last couple of chapters of my works can testify.
So I need one. Not desperately, and probably not often either, but occasionally I might be pestering for another opinion on my work mostly to catch the spelling mistakes that are the inevitable price of being me. Anyone want to volunteer?
Oh yes, and the next chapter of No Room For Regret is out shortly (I keep saying that). I've made a bad pun in bad russian. I'm a terrible person.
I wish I could, but I have little experience outside of pre-reading.
I do have to admit that I find it a tad humorous that your wife has grown tired of helping you edit. She sounds supportive, though, which is always good.
I feel the pain. I have developed a remarkable ability to detect my errors right after hitting send though....
I am proof-reading for Myths and Birthrights presently. I suppose I could help you as well, though I work good with time tables; leisurely pace to me equals never.
i am bad inglis but mebbe can help little bit
I'd be willing to help.
I would be cool with helping, but like Fourpony, I need a timetable.
Well I'll make the offer. You don't know me, so I wouldn't expect you to try out my skills, but what you're asking for is something I've always been very good at.
I volunteer.
I would be honored to assist you.
How exactly would we go about this?
I'm game to be another pair of eyes, so if you don't have enough folks hit me up.
(I proof and edit for one other author, but I should still have the time.)
