I know that Inner Demons was my first serious FiM fiction I ever wrote, and it's good, but I hear people on the internet talking about how it's "one of the most epic fanfictions they ever read" and how "It would blow Canterlot Wedding out of the water".
God... is it really THAT great of a story?
I am honored that something I wrote is so well loved. Thank you everyone for making Inner Demons as great as it is. The author is only half, truly, it's the readers that really make a story amazing.
You guys are the greatest.

Yeah it is that good! It was the reason I wanted to write my story 'what choice do I have?' Which has become my top story. I applaud you for your work and cannot wait for the continuation

Just last night I was talking in the FimFiction IRC and I brought up Inner Demons as an example of a story that does emotion extremely well. Personally Inner Demons is one of the top stories for me on this site, and got me to finally start writing Of Loyalty and Chaos (though they share nothing in common storywise).
You underestimate how good a job you did on that story!

Personally, I think calling it great is an understatement! It was so good, I ended up reading it a second time! Once I started reading this story, I couldn't put it down!

I've read close to a thousand stories since arriving here last summer; Inner Demons is easily in the top 50.
Coming from someone who tends to nitpick or find the majority of the fanfictions dull or overrated, you're the only writer that has made a fanfiction that I truly was invested in. You proved that you could make an angsty yet well-thought out story at the same time that treated you like an adult. Not a lot of stories do that and the only real criticism I can throw out is that the action scenes weren't really developed all that much like the rest of the story.

Yes, it is. Inner Demons is the best fanfic in My Little Pony history. I'm actually about to read it for like the 10th time. Only other story I've done that for is Petriculture, and that's a one-shot, so it takes less time to read.

Inner Demons is one of my go-tos, one of the first to spring to mind, when I think "dark and epic." It occupies a similar shelf to The Immortal Game.
Also, they're both (although I've finished reading neither) part of the inspiration for my own inadequate-by-comparison story. xD
