    A New Hope

Someone made a suggestion in my last post, and it was a good suggestion, so without further ado:

    Endings and Beginnings

Hey'all. Once again it's been embarrassingly long.

    Back at it

Oh boy. It's been more than two years, but Uniformity is finally out of hiatus. I didn't expect it to be that long, but things like that are hard to predict.

As they say, better late than never.

Along with the new chapter there's a brief summary of events so far, since I expect I'm not the only one whose memory needs a bit of jogging.

    Here again

It's that time of year again. I'm talking about NaNoWriMo of course.

I have been writing practically zilch all year. Just haven't had the energy for it. I know you're all waiting for some sort of update - new chapters and new stories - but sadly I can't promise you any of that yet.

    Uniformity officially on hiatus

I think I owe you all an update on the status and progress of Uniformity.

With Back and Forth done, I had hoped to get right back to Uniformity and finally give you some regular updates. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened. I haven't been able to write anything lately, and I kinda feel like a mess right now, trying to juggle everything.

II and what comes after · 11:24pm Jan 29th, 2013

I had hoped to finish the next chapter of II today, but then Things™ happened that I'm sure I don't need to mention here since the whole Internet is already overflowing with it. In short, it is mighty distracting.

Anyway, I think I can now begin to see the end of this story (II, that is). Without making any promises or the like, I suspect there are about 5 chapters left. That's the minimum at least, it might be a couple more, but I expect something like that.

Also, as with all my stories, I won't bother about going back to make it fit new canon. If I like a bit of new canon and think it fits into an upcoming chapter, then sure, I'll include it, but otherwise I just ignore it. My stories will stay as they are, because it's fun to look back on and because I'd rather spend my time writing new chapters and stories than going back to revise.

So just in case you ever wondered, Discord is still stoned and anything to do with the season finale won't make it into this story either.

As for other stories, I did mention a while ago on dA that I've been working on a prequel to Fillystata called Stitch, which will explore Sweetie Belle's story prior to the events of Fillystata. It will also be a return to Dappleshore and Midnight's history. Work on that has been rather slow, however.

Once I've wrapped up II, and hopefully Stitch as well, I have plans for a Lyra and BonBon adventure involving ... humans! That will likely be my next big multi-part story. I haven't written anything with the Human tag before, so that might be interesting.

And those are the big ones. I have a ton of other stories, some are just ideas, others are being worked on or are waiting for me to resume work. It's all very overwhelming, but anyway ... looks like I won't be going anywhere for a while.

Yay! It's so awesome to hear that a good author is so tethered to their work base! :pinkiehappy:

Heh, more like chained, I can't seem to stop giving myself work :rainbowlaugh:

769723 Well, if you work yourself to death making wonderful entertainment for the people behind you, I don't think your name will be slandered. :derpytongue2:

"Also, as with all my stories, I won't bother about going back to make it fit new canon."

Because you take pride in your work and what happens in the future ain't got shit on what this story has to tell.

/salute to one of the few true authors
