Oh boy. It's been more than two years, but Uniformity is finally out of hiatus. I didn't expect it to be that long, but things like that are hard to predict.
As they say, better late than never.
Along with the new chapter there's a brief summary of events so far, since I expect I'm not the only one whose memory needs a bit of jogging.
I'm not really sure what happened, to be honest. The motivation and energy just drained out of me bit by bit, and for the past two years (after barely finishing the story Back and Forth) I've just been slogging aimlessly around. I'm reluctant to call it depression, cuz I haven't exactly been sad, but in every other way it's the only word I can find for it.
I'm back to writing now, however, and so far I'm enjoying it greatly. I hope it lasts.
I intend to finish Uniformity first thing, because it's been bugging me all this time that I left it unfinished. After that ... who knows.

I thought this was a awesome, but dead story. To be fair, your hiatus announcement was almost 100 weeks ago...so...yeah. 
I look forward to seeing how this continues. I will probably need to re-read it, but I still vaguely remember the details, and the strange romance-ish issues going on between Bon Bon and Lyra despite Lyra's...issues...
I...forget why Dash was along for the ride now...but, meh, re-read time!
And yeah, motivation, life, and other things can affect writing. I tend to have a 3-4 month period each year where I just don't feel like it and get into playing video games or other things instead of writing.
You don't need to be sad to be depressed. I was diagnosed with it and I was all apathetic for most of it.
But on a side note it's good to see ya at it again.

I remember this being my favorite Lyra-centric fic way back-when. The story had a sense of adventure that was so intriguing that I couldn't help getting sucked in. I also thought the shipping was on-point. It's so difficult and mysterious between Lyra and Bon Bon, yet with Twi and Rainbow it's so well-spoken and lovey-dovey. Those different relationships gave me something to ponder, during page loading times between chapters.

100 weeks almost exactly? Wow. Yeah, I don't blame folks for thinking it was well and truly dead. I didn't want to post anything until I had the next chapter done, in order to not give any false hopes.

This is the first big story I got into while it was still being updated (as opposed to me picking up an already-completed story). I loved the sense of adventure, and the crazy worldbuilding. I'm looking forward to reading this again.
