For the last three months, I've been promising new chapters of A Cog in the Machine. After the mini update back in late October, I promised that two new chapters would be coming in the near future...
October ended with the one chapter.
I promised these two new chapters in November. I said that they would be out after I was done fixing up the older chapters. I had a progress bar and everything ready and a good chunk of the chapters done...
November ended with every chapter edited... but no new chapters.
Towards the middle of December, when I was finally released from school, I told you guys right away that I would be working on the chapters. I told you that my goal was to reach 30K by the end of the year and in the pursuit of this goal I left the Author's Group skype chat in order to eliminate all outside distractions. I did nothing but write and write and write...
December ended with only 20K completed, none of it made available for your viewing pleasure.
So, that said... I owe everypony an apology. For months on end here I have overestimated my abilities both as an author and as a human being. In the end, I have done nothing but make promises that I was incapable of keeping. Now, even if I were to tell you that January will not end like the last three months have, none of you would believe me.
Because I have proven myself to be a liar.
I am sorry.
I want to tell you that part one is ready to go and part two is trailing behind it, but at this point I don't even trust my own words so... I guess all that I can do is to both tell you I'm sorry, and to thank you dearly for staying with me for so long.
