Hi again! It’s been a while, I know.
This is Colder Clouds. She’s a small one. But if you know me, I lean toward writing succinct, and I feel ‘okay’ at it. I wouldn’t say she’s packed quite as densely as Iridium, but I’ve marked her as a sister story.
I really enjoy writing in the older ‘three tribes’ era of Equestria. With these stories, maybe they’re a little more than close to home with regard to my personal emotions at the time of writing, but I’d like to think they maintain the pony feeling, and give a little more meat to the period we’re after.
As usual, there’s some interpretation to be had. Colder Clouds is another story that’s sad on the heart, but isn’t dreadfully so.
Of personal note, I’m really not sure if all the posts back in April on /mlp/ about one of my stories has been dragging me down or encouraging me to take my time working on little stories in the margins of my software.
It could just be that I’ve been slaved over by work, worried about attending my first convention after 13 years of being in the fandom, and drawn out of all emotional capacity by a constant need to make someone else’s day better. Oh, and averaging 4 hours of sleep on work nights. Like right now.
Maybe.
Either way, thank you very much to the anons who gave my story a shot over there. I really didn’t see it coming, and I’m thankful most of the responses were positive. It was a cool experience and I’m glad to have had it.
Anyways, I’m sorry you had to read that; just wanted to update those interested in where I’ve been.
