Hey everypony!
So, for the longest time, I've been wanting to stretch my metaphorical wings and try my hand at writing something a bit darker than my usual fare. I'm a big fan of the suspense, thriller, and horror genres. Especially when it comes to video games. So, for me, the challenge has always been finding a way to translate the experiences, feelings, and emotions I've had when playing horror games into a story that feels readable. I've tried several times before but was never quite satisfied with the result.
This time, I think I've written something pretty special. A story that's first chapter is longer than any single chapter or one-shot I have ever written. The word tally, pre-edits, comes out to 7,552 words. For me, this was an immense amount, but it was an absolute joy to write, rewrite, change some scenes up. Now, as I wait for my wonderful editor to provide me with some much-needed input and corrections, I just wanted to share my excitement with all of you!
I'm really hopeful that everyone is going to enjoy the product I put out. And keep in mind, this is only the first chapter. I have laid out plans that will require, at minimum, six chapters to complete this one.
