Overview of a Series With Mirror Pool Clones, Hiding, and Terrible Dads · 3:25am April 24th
This series was inspired by the Shining Armor is a Terrible Dad Competition.
The Dark Forest Hypothesis was the premise of books such as the "Three Body Problem" novel and trilogy. The series was loosely themed around that theme, and stories involved hiding to avoid being ambushed, the fear of any communications leading to be discovered, and, in a few places, involved shooting first and asking questions later.

I started writing this during the contest about Shining Armor being a terrible dad (without Shining Armor showing up personally), but finished it much later
The start of the story was thinking about what the smallest possible thing a Mirror Pool clone could do or accomplish that would be somewhat relatable, and potentially helpful to ponies around them, such as finding a cool rock and wanting to show it off. Mica is a rock that can easily be split into extremely thin elastic plates.
A comedic spin-off with the Mirror Pool clone, and the only one in the series not mentioning Shining Armor being a terrible dad (contest).
A submission idea inspired by the idea of a large quantity of terribleness of terrible dads, and a goth Princess Flurry Heart dealing with absurdity and being underestimated.
Partner story to "Pinkie Pie's Evil Clone Saves Equestria"
In this story, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart, and a few other characters have flaws including, but not limited to, impulsiveness, forgetfulness, obliviousness, stupidity, recklessness, selfishness, indifference, and poor communication skills.
A submission idea focused on explaining the terribleness of terrible dads and their influence in much more detail, from a Pinkie Pie Clone attempting to stop something terrible from happening.
Partner story to "Too Many Shining Armors (Are Terrible Dads)"
The last story in that series so far, where a new generation discover how and why Shining Armor was a terrible enough dad to cause his daughter Princess Flurry Heart to be turned into a statue by the Elements of Harmony.
