Check Your Images: Possible Site Issue · 9:06pm April 1st
I've only just noticed, but is anyone else having random loading failure problems with inserted images/gifs on various pages? Blogs and user pages I've chiefly been noticing it on. I could've sworn they were fine yesterday, but today? Nope.
Fic embeds and videos seem to be working fine. I just wondered if anyone else had noticed the image issue.

I've contacted the mods, just in case. Also, I've just noticed the Derpy computer image I tried to load in this current blog post works fine off-site, so I don't think it's a source issue.
Just wanted to see if anyone else had noticed the problem, or if it's something on my device (I've checked it against other Internet service providers and restarted the machine, just in case).
And no, this is not an April Fool's prank. I'm being serious here.
It's actually possible to see this in somewhat real time on PseudoBob's hourly-updated story; the images stopped embedding in the last two chapters. And the ones I am seeing may be cached on my end.

I've checked, and from my POV none of the fic's embedded images are loading, first or last few chapters. Then again, as you say, you might have the advantage of a pre-existing cache.

Well, I've messaged Eldorado, Wanderer D, and Majin Syeekoh as the three most recently active site mods, so hopefully I'll hear back soon.
Ironically, I didn't notice it on my own review blogs as they cite the story's image directly, and those are direct Fimfic uploads, not external sourcing.
It's really weird to have Fimfic able to load its own images but not external ones for a chance, isn't it?
There's much debate and investigation into it already from people and mods alike, so I'm hopeful (…?
) it'll be cleared up by morning.

I skimmed a few recent blog posts, and a couple seem to have noticed. Wasn't sure how many had been alerted, though, hence the blog and the mod PMs.
Hadn't noticed there was an internal/external component. Do you think I should inform the mods in case that's useful intel?
