    A Beautiful Lesson

Sometimes we need to be reminded, just because one's not the star of the show, doesn't make them unimportant. You're all valued in one way or another, whether your role be small or big, and that's okay.

Give Me An Honest Opinion · 4:51am February 10th

If I made a chapter based around purely politics, do you think I could pull it off?

Depends. How good are you at politics?:rainbowhuh:

Ahsolutely

I would love to see Stardusts opinions on politics, and your writing style could go really well with that.

Would these be human politics or pony politics? The former can be very tricky if you desire some sort of neutrality on any particular issue.

It’s also difficult to create a fully developed and functional political system in an alien culture that has had little to no human influence. It’s quite a task, but the world building can be done if that’s what you mean by ‘politics.’

‘The rule of law’ and ‘human / pony nature’ are closely related topics that may not have the underlying precedence in the average human audience. Not sure if that helps brainstorm anything. Good luck, though!!

I can only imagine the Main 6 and Luna going to watch the USA president election process starting from this month to the end result. Doing a monthly update letters to Celestia format. Ending with "WHO THE BUCK HAVE THEY NOT KILLED THEM SELFS YET????"

It can be tricky. Politics involving a non-human species could be a potential allegory for human politics. Regardless of what you write, some people are probably going to get butthurt regardless. I say write it and to hell with what everyone thinks.

Given Stardust basic standpoint, his righteous fury to goes against anything that seems wrong speak out his stand point, often time settle dispute between kingdoms and tribes, literally help restore Griffinstone, and as well been king and soon to be king again, as well great job I might add. I would say yeah you would pull it off.

i love it when really devious politics are introduced into a story. the drama the tension the backstabbing its a whole barrel of fun.

but to write it well you need to be able to advocate for each side well. consider each side's interests and desires. and the points each side wants to get through and what they want to say, and what they dont want to say.

it really depends on the actual topic. politics can get so specific and so vague.

if you want to do politics for the AU you have created then you need to do some world building. You dont actually need to write down the world building you did immediately but you need to keep the world you made in mind while writing the dialog.

if its real world politics i dont really have much of an opinion on it in general, just make your points make sense and keep them concise.
