Hate · 7:25pm February 8th
I've just encountered the most hateful person I've ever seen, either on the internet or in real life. Someone who seems to, plainly and simply, take great pleasure in the suffering and pain of anyone but themselves.
Naturally, if you know me, you've probably figured out by now that I'm not going to disclose who that person is or where I even encountered them; website, thread, anything. It doesn't matter. What matters is that I've seen so many more of such users lately, and this one just drove home the feeling of absolute disgust and just... sickness stemming from me seeing comments like theirs.
I know that there are topics which can easily evoke emotions. But please, try to contain yourself even slightly when talking about them. It's... just a simple appeal, I suppose. And I know it's completely pointless, I don't have a huge reach at all and even if I did, everyone has already said this. I guess I just feel a bit... shaken, I suppose, and wanted to say something. It's abolutely horrific how much some people like to spew metaphorical venom at others.
Stay safe out there. Sorry for wasting your time with this blog.
I know how you feel. I had to work with more than a few like that and never want to be near those types of people. There is enough problems to deal with without people like that. Hopefully you will encounter better people from now on.
For me I love encountering people like that, I love messing with them XD
I know that feeling, I've had to deal with people like that a lot in my life, and they always knew how to bring out the worst in me. It's been a long time since I last heard about them, though. I hope you'll encounter better people from here on out.

Thanks.
And yeah, that's very true. I just have this naive hope that the number of people like that will decline over time or something, even though I know it's unlikely, at least for now. Oh well, at the very least we can try not to allow them to affect our lives too much; that alone is a bit of a win in my book, even if a small one.

I know what you mean; I used to be like that as well, actually. That is, until I realised how badly engaging in constant talks with people like that - and by extention becoming a target of their unending hatred - affected my mental wellbeing, haha. Then I stopped.
Of course, that is by no means applicable to everyone; some people are unaffected by it all, and in a way, providing a visible counter to haters is a good thing to do. It's just not an activity for me, I suppose.

Thank you.
In my experience, the prevalence of people like that highly depends on the website/community they find themselves in. There seems to exist a non-insignificant group of people who revel in just the ability to do despicable things in itself; who actively search for opportunities to do so. And that's... concerning. But then again, there are communities whose 'culture' does not encourage such behaviour at all, so there definitely exists a glimmer of light too.
