So, the newest addition by someone to the TVTropes page for The Martian has a reference to the Sol 551 Space Oddity heartsong, and claims Mark told Fireball to "tell Mars just what we think of it," with Fireball flipping off the planet and saying, "It knows!"
Thing is, that didn't happen.
It's Fireball who sings the first line, and it's Dragonfly who sings, "It knows!", and neither one is stated in the text as raising a finger or hoof in anti-salute.
Still, I think it's kind of an accomplishment when fans start posting erroneous facts about your stories...

Without having reread the passage, that has to be Dragonfly's line, because only Dragonfly can detect it.
