IRON GIANT WEREWOLF AU SNEAK PEEK #2 🐺🌕 · 2:41pm January 19th

Once he made it to the rest of his classmates, their teacher, Coach Walters, explained the day’s agenda. “As I said before, today’s soccer day. You’ll be divided into two teams and before anybody asks, yes , you'll be choosing your own teams. Johnson and Fitzgerald, you’ll be the ones choosing.”

There was a collective groan from the students, Hogarth included. If the coach had been assigning the teams, there was a better chance that he and Griffin would’ve ended up on the same side. Too bad his luck decided to turn against him that day. Hogarth was definitely going to end up on the opposite team, which was what Griffin wanted.

He could sense the other teen grinning menacingly at him, clearly itching for the game to start. He really should’ve faked sick when he had the chance.

The teams were chosen and the coach immediately blew his whistle, the piercing noise shooting through the air like a bullet. While everyone else made a mad dash for the ball, Hogarth stayed close to the edge of the field. He wanted to avoid Griffin as much as possible, praying desperately for the universe to take pity on him and let the game go on without any trouble.

However, the universe answered back with a “fuck you” as the ball suddenly rolled to his feet and a bunch of students were running in his direction. Not wanting to get tackled to the ground, Hogarth began dribbling the ball across the grass. He could hear girls cheering the boys on from the sidelines. He was about to pass the ball to one of his teammates when something swept his legs out from under him.

He crashed hard onto the ground, his face stinging from the impact. He landed in something cold and squishy.

“Holy shit!” he heard someone say. “Is that what I think it is?”

“Dude, that’s the fifth one this week!”

“Eugh, that’s disgusting.”

Hogarth propped himself up on his elbows and looked down expecting to see mud. He blanched when he saw blood instead.
