    Computer Problems, possibly Fixed?

    So a short while back my old XP Machine, which I'm using as an "Archival Computer" for things like pictures, word documents, and playing older non-Steam games, had a crash were the hard drive holding the OS for it kicked the bucket. So here's the story behind that;

    When I first started writing High Seas there were a number of ideas and concepts that ultimately didn't pan out and I've forgotten most of them, but here are Four I do remember;

    Trailer for an upcoming High Seas Chapter

    A long time ago now I did a little teaser for a now-posted chapter of High Seas of Adventure, so I figured why not do another.

    Razor and Apollo stared at the map in disbelief, not wanting to believe what they were seeing, but there was no denying it.

    What's going to be going on in the future

    Hey everyone, while this years was just *bleh* for me and as a result not many chapters for my stories came out, but sadly "Real Life writes the Plot" is a Trope for a reason. But I've got some positive news this time;

Trailer for an upcoming High Seas Chapter · 10:54am January 19th

A long time ago now I did a little teaser for a now-posted chapter of High Seas of Adventure, so I figured why not do another.

Razor and Apollo stared at the map in disbelief, not wanting to believe what they were seeing, but there was no denying it.

"I never thought they'd be that foolish..." Apollo breathed out. "I mean the NTU has done some crazy and downright brain-dead, but to travel thought there?!

"Never underestimate the power of greed and lust, Apollo... especially with the prize the NTU has in that fleet, one they have been after for so long." Razor said, his tone and face grim.

In the Sea of Legends...

"Everyone," Razor addressed his gathered crew, "We know where the NTU Fleet is fleeing to in hopes to leave the Sea of Legends... but the route they have chosen is none other then... The Black Abyss."

Immediately, all the faces of the Dragon's crew went pale.

Many adventures, treasures, and glory await those who seek it...

But there are places there...

That even the Caribou gravely fear to tread.

The Thestral Stallion watched the screen in front of him with intense focus, silently praying that the glowing flat line running across the center stayed flat, but sadly those hopes were dashed as a sudden spike appeared. Flipping a switch on the device he spoke into his microphone.

"Con. Sonar. Bearing 320..."

For within the deeps...

"Increasing fin movement..." The Thestral's eyes widened as he tore off his headphones and rushed to the door. "IT'S TRYING TO SLIP UNDER US!"

"NOW MR. APOLLO!!" Razor bellowed.

"Rolling fire, medium pattern, rolling fire!" Apollo ordered into the loudspeakers. At the stern levers were pulled sending modified and fully sealed barrels of explosives one at a time into the waves as more of these were launched from the sides of the Dragon into the air via modified swivel gun barrels and crashed into the water below. Seconds later muffled detonations were heard as large white disks formed on the surface followed by massive plumes of water bursting upwards."

There lurks many horrors, waiting to feed...

Detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms in the region. Are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it

Do You Fear what lurks in the deeps?

Yep, and Kraken are far from the only threats there.

:pinkiegasp: Dang. Now that's a way to build hype for your next chapter.

Well done, Silver. Well done. 👍

Thanks, still going to be a bit since I'll need to build up to that chapter, but I'm really looking forward to writing it.

As for the sonar and depth charges, that's actually wide-spread across the SOL. When creatures like Leviathans, Kraken, and other underwater horrors are a very real threat, one must create ways to fight them.

Speaking of Leviathans, I've got one to share with you in the DMs later.

That's fine. Take your time with it, and make sure it's as good as you can make it. :pinkiehappy: 👍

Absolutely.

Though I imagine they'll annoy more friendly creatures like Lev, since they can be very real threats to her keeping her territory.

Maybe, though the areas were these are used are in clearly marked as leviathan territory, so Lev wouldn't have to deal with them too often. That and she'd do well against most that entered her own, as the larger ones tend to stay in the deeper places of the SOL.

Oh yeah. She didn't just earn the name 'Pirate Queen' for living in a castle. While she won't test herself against the larger ones who stay in the deeper places, she's more than willing to show why she's queen of her own territory, so any younger ones that venture onto her turf learn very quickly that she's the boss.
