Ms. Glimmer and the Do Nothing Prince — Movie Tie-in · 3:32am Dec 27th, 2023
This chapter introduces a new character. You may have figured out that the novel is firmly in alternate universe territory. Starlight never becomes a princess in canon, nor is Twilight named crown princess, thought clearly she was one. There's a pony who went on to become Tempest Shadow and to conquer Canterlot. If you've seen My Little Pony: The Movie you may remember her. Starlight's butterfly effect changes the course of her life, too. She's important to this novel in that respect.
However, the chapter is lifted from a side story titled The Broke-Horn Unicorn on Canterlot Station. Regardless of the title, it isn't a cross-over. Sadly, since I've never been in military service, and consequently never in the navy, I do not believe I have what's necessary to carry the side story to completion without serious mistakes. The side-story will be marked as on hiatus, even though I have a full outline for it. Characters from this novel play integral roles in it.
To complete that story, I need someone with navy experience willing to review the naval details, suggest how certain plot points would work out, and verify the story is faithful to navy tradition (US or UK).
