Merry Christmas! · 8:38pm Dec 25th, 2023
And for those who don't celebrate Christmas, Merry Christmas to you too.
None of you were wondering how my Christmas was doing. I'll give you an update anyway, because I don't care.
My Christmas was fantastic! My first one home after two years, and I was just happy to be there. All my traditions and cultural parts of Christmastime were there, and I loved it all. I baked cookies and delivered them, went to a Handel's Messiah Sing-Along at the Kennedy Center in DC, and ate potato soup and rolls with four guests, two of them missionaries, on Christmas Eve. We read a lot of stories and sang hymns, acted out the Nativity, and went to bed.
Christmas morning we read personal letters that my mom and sister had written, clambered through string lasers strung up the staircase, ate a large breakfast, and opened presents. I had a lot of them, because I've been a good boy this year. I got clothes and candy and a watch and handmade drawings from my sister. I think my oddest present was a butter dish, for when I go off to college in two weeks.
Hope everyone else is having a great day. Love you all!
