The past month or so after my mother's death has been erratic when it comes to scheduling and such, not helped by also wanting to do Equestria at War writing as well. However, with about ten days or so to go before Jinglemas writing ends, the least I could do would be to have a great story ready for that special someone.
After that or during that, I would have to be more transparent whne it comes to writing habits and such. On and off over the past few months, I've been flirting with some note-taking or otherwise productivity apps. Currently, I'm running on a Kanban board app and I also have Kapow, a timecard-esque program... maybe I could do writing receipts? If anything, the small amount of writing I've accomplished this year is a mixed bag: I've done little, but the little I've done is something I'm 100% proud of. Always room for improvement, of course, but it's strides better than where I was back when Magical Curiosity was the thing for me.
Either later this month or very early in the next, I will have to put in some plans for the year. It is now a real possibility that I may have to turn to writing as a... tertiary or quarternary potential source of... not really revenue but a way of getting tips, if only so that I have a very strong deadline to write against (AKA a client) and get my writing schedule back in order. That aside, I've already mentioned tons of plans over the years and I haven't come close to them yet. I may have to cut down on the short stories, then... I have already decided to not participate in contests until I at least have one long fic out and ready.
My apologies if this is a bit rambly, but I've kept people in the dark here for rather too long, and that's after breaking my promise last post of giving you a timely update.
