    Well... That's weird

Not to sound ungrateful, but why does Tippy Toe have OVER 7000 VIEWS?! What the hell??? I mean, it's a fun little story, but not my personal favorite or best work in my opinion. YAY to all of you that keep reading it over and over again.

*goes back to working on two chapters for Side Stories.

    Small update

Writing has been slow because I needed a break from it, but I have been doing art from time to time. I should probably put that in quotes. While I think some AI art does look beautiful it still bothers me that most of it is created by stealing other people's hard earned talent. So, I would never generate any myself. I have, however take some other people's generated art and used photoshop to

    Incarnate Soundtrack and titles

So, I posted a little while back on thoughts about updating the chapter titles for Incarnate. Ultimately, I am choosing to leave it as is because it does not need them.

However, because my brain makes demands sometimes I AM going to go ahead and post the chapter song titles that makes the Raven in my head pleased.

Update on what is going on.

Good evening all who make their way over to this. I figured I would give an update on what I have been working on and what still needs to be done.

Pondering... · 2:56am Nov 22nd, 2023

So, I'm sitting here sketching art for the next chapter of Incarnate: Conversations Incarnate: Conversations and I take a moment to go to my own story list. I sometimes like to check the analytics, I mean they provide them so why not, right? I'm sure many others do as well.

While doing so though I am once again brought back to the first story, Incarnate, and I look how... I guess naked the story feels as far as chapter titles. Does this affect the story? Of course not. But it's bothered me before, like it's finished, but still lacks that last bit of flair or polish. Music plays such a pivotal role in the series it seems a shame not to have a key story be titles in such a way like the others. I keep telling myself it's not necessary, but still I wonder if it might be better, especially for new readers who discover it.

Does this happen to anyone else? Or am I being like Charles Dickens or George Lucas where you just won't leave it alone and keep trying to add more?

I say trust your gut on it. I know that's a glib answer, but I've found that listening to my instincts on creative decisions has rarely let me down.

Definitely understand the sentiment. I've done model kit painting (Gundams and other similar stuff) for over 20 years of my life. There are times when I take a kit I painted a decade ago off the shelf and feel the urge to polish up the details a bit. This is often motivated by the desire to "correct" things that I know could do better if I had started working on the kit today.

I usually try to stop and tell myself that the "flaws" and "missed opportunities" I see in my own past works are things that 90% of other people aren't going to even notice. This helps me be less critical of myself, and focus on what I can do now, rather than what I didn't do quite as well as I would have liked in the past.

I 100% understand this. I feel this alot for the first story that I ever wrote and even for the one I’m working on now. I say, it never hurts to add your better refined skill to older works. It’s like redrawing a piece from amateur hours. Incarnate is such a wonderful, coming of age story for Sunset, any polishment you make I’m sure will make it even greater.

Seeing the flaws in your past work only means that you have improved, never feel sorry for being better than you were before.

Not a glib answer. I think it is very honest and thank you.

I don't want to think of it as flawed, but I get it. It's all in my head. We are often our own worse critics.
