Question #124 · 2:39am Oct 4th, 2023
Hello everyone and welcome back to the question of the week.
It's October and Halloween/Nightmare Night is drawing near. So, we will be doing some Halloween questions.
But first, let me just mention that the Cyberpunk Equestria Nightmare Night Story Contest is up and running, so hopefully we will see some more stories showing up in there.
Especially since I spent money on prizes...
Feel free to enter and participate.

Now onto the Halloween themed question...
Is there a spooky movie that you've seen that you think might be fun to see a comedic spoopy parody of? What is it?
I am very curious about your answers and who knows, maybe I'll write some comedy versions of one of those movies as a shortfic in the future.
There is a part of me that thinks it would be absolutely funny to have a spooky story where you have a bunch of old people in an old mansion when some monster or serial killer tries to kill them off one by one... But somehow the elderlies manage to fend off the monster unknowingly just by doing normal old people stuff (or stuff that old people stereotypically do).
Yeah... That's pretty silly.
And there you have it.
Thank you all for reading these blogs, it really does mean a lot to me. May you all have a great week.

a Spoof of the 13th Ghost :3 one of my favorite scary films. I would say something from the Saw films but I kept thinking of the sequel Spiral.
Kanchana movie
Your facetious movie example sounds eerily close to the plot of the 2002 movie Bubba Ho-tep.
Bruce Campbell does a great job chewing up the scenery as a geriatric Elvis. He and his fellow octogenarians realize it is up to them to save the world against the threat of Bubba Ho-tep, the 5, 00—year-old redneck mummy.
Well, I haven't watched any movies in a long time, on account of country censorship. Even with VPN or other methods, my lack of interest in most of it plays a larger role. Except when it comes to ponies of course.
But, one horror comedy sparked a decent interest. I believe it is an R rated movie called A Haunted House. Found some clips on reddit prior to the killing of 3rd party apps.
A google shows Haunted Mansion 2023, which doesn't seem to be R rated, but it has comedy in it. But I haven't gotten around to watching those yet, so I don't know.
But what I do know is: Ghost Puncher and Ghost Jerker greentexts. Those are funny as hell. If owning a musket for home defense works fine when translated to ponies, I don't see why those two wouldn't work.
Based on your grannies in a kill house, it feels like an overused trope where they unknowingly twart the bad guy, but it is still interesting enough. Maybe if Rainbow Dash is part of the Gold Horseshoe Gals when they entered the kill house, it might have enough twist to make it stand out.
The gals themselves already don't do typical granny stuff.
