maybe in a world of odd people and odd things, I'm not so odd after all. But who knows. (they/them)

Well, I had a good run. :derpytongue2:

The education system's got me again. :pinkiegasp: :rainbowlaugh: I'm back to being dragged out of bed at stupid o'clock and racing to get out of the door in time, which is unfortunate. On the plus side, it's not technically school, so, there's no uniforms (except for the lanyards); I don't have to be there before 9am apart from the days when my lessons start at that time; there's no bullies or people messing around in lessons because the only people in my classes are the ones who picked that subject and who want to be there; between lessons I can leave the campus and go do what I want; there's a Starbucks on-site; and the teachers treat everyone there like adults rather than going on a power trip. That's actually a lot of plusses, and I'm grateful to be out of the *nightmare* that was my old school, but I think it's going to take me a while to get back to the old "wake up early" routine again. :ajsleepy:

I'm kind of disappointed I haven't been able to do a bunch to celebrate the start of the Shadows and Stars series (the anniversary of the first story is today) but meeting the deadline for my maths homework has taken priority. I've also had some technical difficulties and I've been focusing on other projects. (I really need to put my mind on one task at a time. Sorry to everyone affected by my lack of organisational skills; I really can't help it.) But hopefully, with the return of a routine, I'll be able to sort myself out a bit and help bring some more horse word ideas to life.

So, that's an update. I'm still alive, and it rained today so the autumn might be on its way after all.

Even though UK college isn't the same as US college, welcome to the college life. So much more fun and freedom than high school. Honestly, make the most of it and the new freedom.

You make collage over there sound like how my French teacher would describe the schools in France.

(...) and the teachers treat everyone there like adults rather than going on a power trip

In my experience, this is pretty much the definition of how college differs from school. Also, fewer lessons. :twilightblush:

But yeah, college has been a big improvement over high school for me as well, especially since we don't have maths in linguistics! Don't get me wrong, maths can be really interesting and I used to love the subject, but as it got more advanced it started getting... uh, not fit for me, let's say. :twilightblush:
