    Revised Harmony Spirits

I wanted a full set of these with proper art, so with permissions from mauroz, here they are. A couple effects have been tweaked to be consistent with modern vernacular in the card game and for my own better understanding of card design and balancing, and I also added a new "Tier 1.5" form for Twilight so she can have her own Fusion outside the ace monster, and finally added Sunset as a

Rise of Bartman Gadgets · 5:00pm Aug 6th, 2023

Inexplicably began thinking of this old idea while vacuuming today.

https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/921783/rise-of-bartman-ideas

Bartman starts out the game with the Bungee Hook (Grapnel Gun), Cape Flutter (Fall damage is a thing, he can flare out his cape to stop damage from smaller drops but not big ones), Prankster Vision, Cherry Bombs, Slingshot, Voicebox, and Tripwire. The latter four are gadgets, and like in Insomniac's Spider-Man, gadgets have a set number of charges that must be refilled.

  • Bungee Hook - Allows Bart to throw out a bungee cord with a hook to pull himself to the top of rooftops. Can be upgraded to the Spring-Loaded Bungee Hook - A spring-launch system lets Bartman fire it out in combat to yoink enemies towards him or grab their weapons.
  • Cape Flutter - Fall damage is a thing in Rise of Bartman, but by using his cape he can slow his descent to land safely from shorter falls. Can be upgraded to the Cape Swirl - Bartman swirls his cape when landing from a jump, kicking up a quick dust cloud that can disorient nearby enemies
  • Slingshot - Bartman can fire pellets from his trusty slingshot to distract enemies or hit distance objects. Can be upgraded to unlock Rebound Shot - Bartman can fire a special elastic pellet that can bounce off of one enemy and hit a second, and can bounce off walls to hit things out of direct line of sight.
  • Voicebox - Bartman can throw out a small module that plays a brief recording of his voice, luring enemies to check it out. Can be upgraded to the Trick Voicebox - When enemies pick it up and inspect it, it detonates a cherry bomb that knocks them down.
  • Tripwire - Bartman sets up a small wire that will cause enemies who walk over it to trip and fall. Can be upgraded to the Loaded Tripwire - When enemies set off the tripwire, a weight attached to one end snaps up to hit their torso and knock them down longer.

After getting a proper Bartman suit from Professor Frink, the Bungee Hook, Cape Flutter, and Slingshot, are all upgraded to activate from a greater distance, and additional upgrades for them can be unlocked. Bartman also acquires four more gadgets: Remote Cherry Bombs, Shock Pellets, the Hacker, and Glue Mines.

  • Bungee Launch - The additional upgrade to the Bungee Hook lets Bartman pull himself up so quickly he flies into the air after breaching the rooftop.
  • Cape Glide - The additional upgrade to the Cape Flutter lets Bartman briefly glide through the air, getting some horizontal distance. Can also be used as an attack.
  • Scattershot - The additional upgrade to the Slingshot lets Bartman fire a pellet that splits into three, hitting up to three targets at once. Can't be used with Rebound Shot or Shock Pellets.
  • Remote Cherry Bomb - Bartman tapes a remote-activated cherry bomb to a surface, which can knock down enemies nearby when detonated and destroy light obstacles. Can be upgraded to the High-Impact Remote Cherry Bomb - they have increased concussive force that can knock down bigger enemies and destroy tougher obstacles.
  • Shock Pellets - Bartman can fire a small pellet from his slingshot that zaps enemies it hits and can electrify machinery. Can be upgraded to unlock the Shock Punch - Bartman can detonate a shock pellet in combat to zap enemies in a small radius around him. Fortunately, the Bartman suit is insulated.
  • Hacker - Bartman can use the hacker to disable certain computer-based objects and electronic locks. Can be upgraded to the Controller - Bartman can take control of certain computer-based objects and use them for tasks, like attacking enemies or moving them to a different place
  • Glue Mine - Bartman sets a small explosive on the ground or a nearby wall that explodes when an enemy comes close, binding them with a huge glob of adhesive. Can be upgraded to the Magnetic Glue Mine - the addition of the magnet allows the Glue Mine to stick (no pun intended) to surfaces right-side up, thus Bartman can throw them into place from a distance instead of having to place them himself.
