As much as I hate to, I'm cancelling this story and won't be updating it any further. I've simply lost all inspiration for continuing this story, despite having ideas for what future chapters would've contained.

That's a shame, but I get where you're coming from (looking at the multiple story ideas I start but never complete). I appreciate you deciding to be open about it instead of just vanishing into the aether as it were going totally radio silent/infinite hiatus.

Not at all. It'll do some good to let someone read them, rather than letting them fade away into the passage of time.
In no particular order:
For where the story left off, there really wasn't much that was groundbreaking for the dinner and resulting slumber party that would follow. Although I contemplated having Applejack and Twilight bunking together in the same bed again so they could experience some skin-on-skin contact that was planned out.
Fluttershy would eventually be read into what was going on. Her initial concern would be that Twilight is safe and alright, and once certain of those facts would be very accepting and unshaken because she understands that mammals shedding their fur is a natural process.
A Crusader situation would eventually arise that left Sweetie Belle's fur horribly stained and impossible to get clean, leaving Rarity no choice but to use the fur removal spell on her, much to her little sister's horror. But ever the good big sister, Rarity would also use the spell on herself to Sweetie Belle wouldn't be alone. And once cleaned up Sweetie Belle would discover that the slimy mental image conjured from her discovery with Twilight was due to her being sweaty at the time, and once dried off bare skin really isn't that bad. Although it'd be after dinner before their fur is regrown.
Pinkie would continue trying to remain supportive of Twilight and their friends while Twilight did her best to help Pinkie overcome her trauma, which would eventually lead to Pinkie being Pinkie and jumping in with all four hooves, by using the specialized crystals and not looking at herself until after her friends saw her first, and feed off of their support and positive energy to bolster her optimism and help her become more comfortable. We would also see that Pinkie's skin is far darker and far more mottled than any of them, with numerous ancient shaving nicks littering her body that've long since healed over.
We would've eventually seen a group slumber with three furless ponies and three furred ponies with fun and games, maybe even a game of reverse strip poker instituted by Rarity after learning more about the human world. She would also pick up on conversation elements from Fluttershy indicating that she'd like to give it a try, but doesn't want to leave Rarity as the only one still with her fur on, which would eventually prompt Rarity to pull a Pinkie despite not being particularly keen on it herself, simply so Fluttershy could partake without feeling guilty.
If the story went on long enough for Starlight Glimmer to be introduced, she'd take to the idea of baldness like a fish to water and absolutely love the idea since baldness is an equalizer all on its own and a far more peaceful approach to what she wanted to do.
If the story went on long enough for the Student Six to be a thing, Starlight was going to reveal to Smolder that she, Twilight, and Thorax had been working on a side project that would allow ponies to utilize a version of changeling magic that only extends skin deep, but would allow for them to shift between a furred and furless state with ease.
Those are the biggest ones that stick out most in my mind.

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I didn't want to end it, but I feel like my creativity is slowly withering.
But if anyone has a desire to ghostwrite future chapters and introduce their own take on the available notes, I'd upload them as guest chapters like I did the Full (Frontal) Moon Over Equestria story.

If it helps at all, I'd say you had some pretty decent ideas, and if you ever wanted to chat about them I'd be more than willing to help out how/where I could. I'm currently very slowly dabbing at a story idea that I started about a week or two ago so I know the struggle. Hope you find your muse again, even if it isn't with this particular story.
Which story are you cancelling? Please don't tell me it's Hollow in Equestria, that's my favourite one.

No, the story I'm regrettably cancelling is It's Just Baldness. A fun side project story about Twilight bringing the human concept of nudism to Equestria and trying to adapt it over to pony culture, but one for which I've lost my inspiration to write further.
Although I'm willing to take guest chapters if anyone is willing to tackle the idea and provide their own take.
