I have finished Part 2 of "The Sky is Gone"! – Part 3 will begin in July and "The Sky is Gone: Epiphany" continues next Friday! (6̵̛̥̻̰̙͆͑ͣ̔͡6̷̡̘̪̫̺̫̩̞̩͉̗̪̠̱̌͐́͘͟ͅ6̍̊ͪ̏̔͂̂ͩ̈́͜͞҉̷̷̟̬̰͉̙̝̻͔͙͚͎͓) · 9:27pm Jun 23rd, 2023
"The Sky is Gone: Epiphany" is finished. This means that Part 3 of Silverstream's story will happen soon, but most importantly, it means that the story will pick up releases again and that new messages by Silverstream will be revealed beginning with next Friday.
I wanted Part 2 to be completely written before I continue with the releases because, for a while, it was not sure if all remaining messages will fit into the 1,000 chapter limit of the submission. If not, it would have forced me to omit a couple messages for the release, as it's important that each submission contains its own, distinct part of the story, and to release them in some form as a bonus later. It was tight, but in the end, it worked out and the last message of Part 2 was written down just 13 chapters short of the limit.
I am aligning the continuation of the releases with the ideal date to start writing Part 3 after all messages for "The Sky is Gone: Epiphany" have been released and I want to give you all some time to re-read the story and be up-to-date again, but in only a week from now, Silverstream's story continues being told with the found footage messages she left behind!
If you like "The Sky is Gone" a lot, consider pledging to my Patreon account. Part 3 will begin ten days early there, before Part 2 has wrapped up releases here on FIMFiction.net, and you can already read ten days ahead of the release here. For only 1$, you can read all new messages by Silverstream ten days before their FIMFiction.net release!

Scootaloo had searched the whole town for somepony who could see it. In her mind, she had been begging, then crying, then screaming, that anypony – just a single pony would have been enough – could see what she saw. The object in the sky. The towering, menacing black shape. It was blocking out the sun. It cast a shadow on the ground, black as the night, as if its plan were to devour Ponyville whole. Maybe it was. Maybe it just relished the moment. But who would be frightened by that? Who would scream in anguish when their last moment came? Who else, but her, would do that? There was nopony else who could see it.
"Is it all in my mind?" Scootaloo started questioning her sanity after asking the last pony in the town, panting and breath going strong. Her lungs rattled in her chest, struggling to perform the task of keeping her alive. She had never run this fast before.
If this was a hallucination, then it was a good one. Could her mind even do that? This had never happened before. Did becoming insane look like this? Nothing happened that could have driven her insane..... or did it? Scootaloo scrunched her mouth, she scratched her head, furiously searching her memory of the last 24 hours. She had been taunted by Diamond Tiara yesterday, yes. But it was nothing severe. Nothing she wasn't used to already. This wouldn't drive her insane. No chance. Never. And yet, this object was in the sky when she had woken up this morning. And she had to look insane right now, after asking everypony in town if they can see something in the sky that shouldn't be there. Soon, some ponies would come and ask her if she was alright.
Scootaloo looked up. She focused on the thing in the sky, which shouldn't have been hard considering its enormous size, but it was. Seeing it was easy, looking at it was. But focusing on it wasn't. Her head began to hurt after just a moment. She felt like claws were digging and probing under her skull, inside her brain. Like they were looking for something. What was it? What could that be? Scootaloo hoped that this was also just a hallucination.
