my dad heard the goddamn zombies from my in-browser minecraft world and asked what he was hearing and i couldn't lie so I told him and he gave me a disappointed look and said, "nuh-uh, no minecraft, nothing like unto it" and so i had to close it and now i feel an intense sense of shame and disappointment in myself,,,,,,,, fucking hell why can't i do anything right

Also, that's exactly what Minecraft teaches - creativity. And it teaches it in a great way.
There are plenty of other violent games in the world, and Minecraft is one of them? What is their problem. Minecraft isn't even that violent.

What the hell Minecraft is a good game to help build up creative skills. If they have a problem with that, that's their own fault, not yours.
