Dude, that's not fair. Pokémon Legends: Arceus came out this year too. Granted, I haven't played a Pokémon game since Sword and Shield (after XY, ORAS, S&M, Ultra S&M, and SnS, I'm still burnt out), but still.

God of War is always amazing, and Elden Ring is a new game.
Pokemon and Sonic are both long-running franchises. The former is usually awesome (or so I hear) and the latter is usually mediocre.
Of course if he'd said "What's Pokemon?" you're in real trouble. Unless you meant to go to the early 90s.
