A Moment of Leisure, and Progress has been made · 5:36pm Nov 19th, 2022
Today I had my first day off that I’ll see in a 17-day period (right in the middle of it) but because I’m working two jobs right now. And I’m glad to say I’ve made great progress on the story. I’ve just about finished A Kindled Beginning now. Need to go back and edit it further which will probably eat at more of my free time, to make sure it comes out perfect come publication.
Quite something no? Almost double in size to anything I’ve written for this site, but it's industry standard for the minimum of my professional work.
I’ve been on quite the death march going from job to job, to writing work as soon as I get home. I spent today mostly catching up on some obligations and also partially dead asleep. I know I’m getting older when sleep is the best way I can think to spend my free time. Heck, I even have callouses on my feet from how much I’ve spent walking, running, and standing around despite having gotten used to it from the one job previously. I’m honestly considering keeping a pack of extra socks in my car because my poor feet come out looking like prunes at the end of the day from the wear and tear and could probably benefit from a fresh, dry pair mid-shifts.
But dems the toils of life, despite me not financially needing through go through this heartache. It keeps my mind busy from feeling the weight of my own troubles, you know?
Anywho, I hope you look forward to my grand finale whenever it is I release it at last. I’m pretty proud of it, despite how repetitive and preachy it might seem. If ever I’ve had a truly glorious finale in my stories, it’s gotta be this one!
Oh and, perhaps I’ll experiment with new stories in the future. Of a race known as the “Keepers of Fate”.
