C&C M-rated Updates... update · 4:26pm Nov 6th, 2022
To make a long story short: Five updated chapters (10-14) are now in prereads, and given the amount of text involved, I’ve given my prereaders a full week to work on them. A sixth updated chapter is nearly done (22: Know Thy Ally) and a seventh is planned (25: Battle of Bale, Part 1) by the time we’re ready to go.
The updates
Of the first five updated chapters, parts 10-12 will be R-rated with 13-14 being M-rated. What this means is that you’ll get a set of new chapter releases with each M-rated entry, each coming one or two days apart. In a change, I’ll keep even the T-rated versions of the newly R-rated chapters available for anyone who prefers them, though honestly, I’m not that keen on how that’s going to clutter up the story and force people to click through them to reach the version they like.
Another option would be to launch a separate T-rated version of the story to keep the two narratives separate, but my experience with The Lawyer and The Unicorn when I tried the same thing tells me that few people tend to read it and maintaining two stories is an enormous hassle. Of course, the same could be said for having separate T-rated chapters (except in this instance, they’re already available). I suppose I could also just keep the original T-rated stuff off-site on google docs or something and give people the links for it. I’ll have to think about it a little more.
As for what I’m doing with the additional content...
I’m trying to accomplish three things—well, other than simply have M-rated content, I mean. First, I want to show that even when she’s being weaned, the cider is still affecting her, making her thoughts sensual and fantasies come freely even when she doesn’t want them to be. Second, I want to make it clear that as her recovery from the cider poisoning proceeds, her previously nonexistent libido is coming back far stronger than before as one of the aftereffects. And third, I want to establish a pattern of Gilda being willing to reward those who honor and help her, to have what happens later make more sense.
What this means is, you’ll get some additional interest around what happens with Marco, but he is NOT neglected and will get the first time with Gilda he deserves, up to and including dominating Gilda after she thought it was going to be the other way around. We’ll see what my prereaders say about the updated scenes, but expect the first of the updated chapters (parts 10-13; three R-rated plus one M-rated) to launch next weekend, followed by the remainder of the M-rated updates coming at the rate of one every day or two.
And after that?
It’s time to do another chapter of Eros, which is now my longest-languishing story—other than my anthro novel, that is. But more on that another time. I’ll look to have it out by Turkey Day (Thanksgiving, which is on November 24th) here in the US.
Looking forward reading the updates.
Personal I don't think it's that bothersome to have all in one story. It's very thoughtful to even give the chance having the clear distinction.
Great work 👍
Cant wait to read em! Happy that more of Gilda rewarding those who she deems worthy is being sprinkled in, excited to see all the updates!
Definitely a conundrum with keeping the T-rated chapters and adding updating R and M rated chapters. Personally I don't have an issue with clicking through, but idk, maybe some others do. Regardless, great work!

Looking forward to getting them out!
Here’s hoping everyone else sees it that way.
Thanks!

Appreciate the enthusiasm! You’ll start getting them this coming weekend.
That’s what worries me. It’s possible to bend over backwards too far and end up with a cluttered, confusing story. Honestly, I’d just rather make it all M-rated and be done with it, removing the older T-rated chapter versions to a separate site. That’s what DEL did back in the day when he had unused versions of chapters or scenes he’d written; he posted them to google docs and gave out the link to them.
