Demesne... wow. Demesne just breached the 7K view mark, and over 2,000 favourites. That's - I mean, wow.

Those views didn't just stay there, though, oh no.

So, the first decent story that I wrote for this site, Movie Night, got some spillover from all that kerfuffle. That just rocked over the 10K unique views mark.

I mean...

Wow.

Wow.

I don't... is there... but... what?

Science Fiction Double Feature! · 11:15am Apr 12th, 2014

Any syfy ending in 'punk' really just boils down to the progress of human morality being outstripped by the progress of technology.

Feel free to correct my definitions, or make more precise ones, in the comments. The real point is my addition to the family at the bottom.

Steampunk is about the drive for innovation, exploration and domination far outstripping the cost to the people beneath its heel, particularly the working class.

A petition close to my heart · 12:26pm Mar 13th, 2014

And I hope you show your support

Addendum: Yes, I'm alive, I just got paid to write a few things for cash money, which take priority for obvious reasons.

Uber Haiku · 6:40pm Feb 23rd, 2014

Recently I got the bizarre challenge to write an Uber Haiku.

Naturally, I accepted, because it sounded stupid enough to be awesome.

The goal is to make a series of haikus that, when you take the first letter of each line, forms another haiku.

Now, for your amusement, wondrous followers, here's what I came up with.

Tea leaves simmering
Hot to the slightest of touch
It quenches the mind

Swaying branches sound
Hirsute observers notice
A cool wind most mild

Isolating sky

I'm getting published! · 12:16pm Feb 15th, 2014

An existential drama short I wrote is being published in a real book!

Published!

Book!

Book?

My book!

Yes!

Well, I mean, that and a few other authors are in it, but that's okay because an editor said I was better than other people who aren't, so yes!

A short story dedicated to Pokemon battles · 9:51am Feb 9th, 2014

This is based on my friend Luke. Of course it is. He has a 100% win rate after a ridiculous number of battles and, believe it or not, this is based on his favourite, if silliest, team.

Hey, a man's gotta have favourites.

Warning: This is Very Very Silly with capital letters. You will probably laugh and wonder why.

Trainer Wants to Battle!

Go, Blaziken!

Rival Trainer uses Steelix!

"Huh, weak to fire, alright, I guess I switch to-"

It's finally done. · 12:19am Feb 6th, 2014

The first three chapters, a whopping 19K words, of The Demesne of the Reluctant Twilight Sparkle have been submitted.

I would like to say: A special thanks to Blue Paladin and FicFerret for their continued pre-reading and tolerance of my shit/procrastination.

This is a bit of a landmark story for me, so, I figured I'd make a blog post to celebrate the occasion.

... It looks like I succeeded!

An Official Explanation · 12:17pm Dec 29th, 2013

I'm sorry it's been so long, truly, and to my pre-everythings, who I took so long to contact.

I've been... unwell.

There is no easy or non-embarrassing way to say this. This is not to be confused as a grab for attention, I feel that my last post has covered that I am not one for self pity and I am trying to fight this.

Again.

I'm interstate at the moment, put on emergency medication, but I have been discharged from the hospital so it's okay. I think.

Maybe.

There is hope. · 10:25pm Oct 15th, 2013

Depression is looking in the mirror and being disgusted with the person looking back at you.

Depression is lying in bed every morning, staring at the ceiling, thinking of a reason it's worth even getting up. Of something to look forward to.

Depression is not finding any.

Depression is constantly forcing yourself to forget old friends and friendships, because you've driven those people away with your awful nature and personality.

The first person to play this *free* game and find the line that tells me WHY I'm sharing it with you, well-

I'll give you a shoutout in the AN of the next Sonnets chapter, with a 50 character message of your choice as a prize.
