First things first, I want to thank everyone who's been patient with me up to this point and kept the torch burning for the next chapter of Mente Materia. The last year has been pretty terrible for me work and health wise, but that's all about to change! In theory, I should be doing work from home full time sometime next week, which means I'll have significantly greater time to write as well as an environment that doesn't sap my energy or give me headaches.

So, what the trailer shows us: Seemingly unique elites from an alien faction not yet seen. Three new resistance groups with unique classes to unlock. Reapers look like FO: NV Rangers with their gas masks and long coats, the Templars seem to be a psionics coven, and the Skirmishers are bon-a-fide ADVENT rebels.

A bit of an update, first thing: Per my earlier blog, writing's slow going for the moment due to health issues currently while at work but once I'm approved for Work From Home (hopefully by the end of the month), I should be able to resume writing at a faster rate.

I had intended to have an April Fools chapter ready for my stories but it seems like that sadly isn't going to happen. Work is slow but steady on the real chapters for both Mente Materia and Brightest Spark, though if I'm totally honest a recent revelation has made me direct some more attention towards Brightest Spark.

Good morning folks,

When I wrote my previous blog, it was late evening and none of the vets in my area were open. I was trying (and failing) to not think of the possibility of waking up the next morning to find my cat had passed on. I ended up taking him to the vet first thing in the morning yesterday (at God's forsaken hour in the morning) where they ran several tests over the course of day.
