If You're Reading This... · 10:37am Nov 30th, 2020

A very good morning to you, fillies and gentlecolts!

I know I have a couple of you who are following my work in progress, "The Thorn of Equestria", the first of five books in the series of the same name. As I've been writing the last few chapters, I've had to go back and make a few changes (mostly to chapters 7 and 8).

A Note of Apology · 11:05am Nov 10th, 2020

As with any worthwhile pursuit in life, writing is often fraught with misjudgment, indiscretion, or, in this instance, a lazy means to an honorable but wholly unsatisfactory end.

Don't Drive (Or Write) While Drowsy · 3:43am Nov 3rd, 2020

So, there's something to be said for writing while drowsy: It's just like driving...don't do it.

Back At It · 4:37am Oct 28th, 2020

Well, it's been an interesting week to say the least. I've had several new officers to train at my job over the last few months and unfortunately that cuts into my writing time, buuuuut, I finally had a chance to wrap up Chapter 7 tonight!

I don't feel like chapter's 5 or 6 adequately portrayed what Willow and Snow Star were really experiencing as a result of Black Rose's torment and, even now, we won't experience that fully until their book is released.

The Adventure Continues · 5:46pm Oct 21st, 2020

Holy sanctified Luna Moonbutt I've FINALLY finished chapter 6! Work has been a series of ups and downs (mostly downs) that's been taking WAY more time out of my schedule than usual and really thrown any ability I had to write straight out the proverbial window.

A Dark Twist · 8:21am Oct 9th, 2020

With the posting of Chapter 5 of The Thorn of Equestria, things are really starting to get tense. I dedicated quite a bit of time to try and get this chapter right, so I hope you all enjoy it!

Admittedly, it's been difficult to squeeze writing time into my schedule, as I'm currently working 72 hours/week, so getting into the right mindset to write a chapter with this level of emotion has been difficult to say the least. Who knows. I may go back and change it up a bit later.

Slow and Steady · 10:05am Oct 4th, 2020

I've always been a firm believer in the veracity of the phrase,

"Quality over quantity."

As such, I'd like to first apologize for the extraordinarily slow release of each chapter of "The Thorn of Equestria". Next, I'd like to reassure you that under no circumstances will I be ceasing to release additional chapters.

October Tea Thoughts - Bite-Sized Pieces · 11:54am Oct 1st, 2020

Well, with the weather finally starting to get cooler, I've taken to drinking tea again and along with that little caffeine boost come a few realizations that managed to escape me before.

Today's little spark of random wisdom: Pace yourself.

Time for Conflict! · 7:28pm Sep 29th, 2020

Well, after rewriting this story three times, I'm finally more or less satisfied with where it is. The published version of the first book in the "Thorn of Equestria" series finally gets its first conflict introduced and admittedly, I'm hoping it's going to be a real puzzler to the folks who have the time or desire to read it.

Writer's Block is a B**** · 4:10am Jun 7th, 2020

Well, title says it all. I hit a point of profound mental stagnation about 20,000 words into my current work in progress. My full time job has been taking up the greater portion of my time lately, and to add to the insanity, I'm in the process of purchasing a home and conducting the mounds of maintenance that you only get with a vehicle that has 170,000 hard miles on it. Naturally, I've felt a bit distracted.
