It seems like every time I'm ready to say, "Yep, this chapter is definitely done and I'm 100% satisfied!", I end up just putting my hoof in my mouth. I'm presently on my FOURTH rewrite of Chapter 2 of "Breathe" not because I'm dissatisfied with the writing itself, but because my mind keeps changing its stance on what it thinks would be the best way to kick off what I'm hoping will be the most exciting story I've ever written.

Well, I'm quickly coming to the realization that writing a story in the MLP:FiM universe becomes significantly more difficult when your six main characters are 30 lightyears away from Equestria in another star system. Worldbuilding isn't an entirely new thing to me, but keeping things "believable" and in line with the MLP canon definitely poses a fun challenge!

Well, who's ready for a bit of romance? (disclaimer: no, it's not a clopfic. Sorry!) As conflict between Equestria and it's new irritable god-empress escalates, two pegasi, reservedly infatuated with each other, have to find two of the Mane Six (no longer among the living...technically). As if that wasn't challenge enough, throw Black Rose's minions and some determined turncoat bounty hunters into the mix and that might give you an idea of where this story is headed.

Well, that's it. My first "major" literary work, and the first book of the Thorn of Equestria" series is "finished"! (notice the quotation marks...as an insufferable nitpicker, I'll probably go back and change things anyway).

To everypony who has offered their encouragement, THANK YOU! I'll be honest, I wasn't entirely sure I'd finish. Now that I'm finished with book 1, however, I'm all fired up for 2-5.

Well, Hearth's Warming has come and gone and the only things I've wrapped are presents. I was hoping to wrap the first book of "The Thorn of Equestria" up and begin 2021 with Book 2 (Wind and Whispers), but hey...I guess the world can't be perfect, can it?

It's no mystery that I don't have many folks following The Thorn of Equestria, but for those of you who are, I'm very sorry recent chapters have been so few and far between! The holidays have been, as expected, quite a busy time for me, but rest assured I'm back to work again!

Okay so, I'm not literally on fire. I'm just REALLY pumped today for some reason! I don't think I've ever written two chapters in a day before. Generally I pace myself and REALLY take my time with these. I'm not sure why, but I really feel that in spite of the fact that I got both of these chapters written in less than eight hours, they're some of my best!
