Pinkie Wannabe and I attended the Comic Con. We enjoyed ourselves. Pinkie was the only MLP Cos-player I saw except for this guy wearing a toboggan shaped like Rainbow Dash and carrying a small army of plush ponies. One little girl asked if she could get her picture made with Pinkie. That made me proud.

I thought we were not going to have Comic Con because of the hurricane, but it looks like it's going to miss South Carolina. So, game on!

Today, I just made a Comic Con costume for Pinkie Wannabe's stuffed tiger, Hobbes. (Yes, he is named for the tiger in Calvin and Hobbes) He is going as Gummy, Pinkie's pet alligator. I made the costume out of felt that I hot glued together. He kinda looks like a green duck, but Pinkie Wannabe is happy with him.

I can't believe I just witnessed a total eclipse of the sun! God! It was just like what you see on science presentations only it was live! We went to Kingstree, SC to see it. It was amazing! We laid back on blankets and watched the shadow slowly pass over the sun. Finally, it hit totality. A cheer went up from the crowd. We could see the corona all wispy white around it. I'm still working on my story: The Chaotic Three. Unfortunately, my laptop died and almost took my stories with it! I took it to Best Buy and the Geek Squad guy was able to rescue my docs on a flashdrive. I could have kissed that man!

My husband was very happy they solved the problem. When the laptop died, I nearly had a nervous breakdown. Writing stories is my passion.

My advice for those who write is NEVER try to write why going through a mood swing. I had written some stuff for my next chapter, but it was weepy and depressing. I soon realized it did not fit the story's mood, so I went back and rewrote it.

Pinkie Wannabe and I went with a friend and her daughter to Hunting Island SC this weekend. My friend has this thing for lighthouses and they have one there that you can go into.
Well, Pinkie and I went up inside. My friend couldn't because her daughter has a terrible fear of heights. I made it about 3/4 of the way and had to stop. I'm 50 freakin' years old, overweight, and it was HOT! I ended up giving Pinkie my camera and let her take some pictures from the top.
