Pinkie Wannabe, my step-daughter, and her fiance have all gone to Saint Louis to visit my parents. That leaves me and my husband alone for a few days. Don't get any dirty ideas, we haven't gone at it like rabbits. We've been too tired. I haven't had much sleep this week and my husband just started AA.
I'm very proud of him. I'm happy he realized he had a problem and wants to work on it. He's only been at it about a week, but he's very determined and I'm supporting him the best I can.

Not going to give anything away, but Pinkie and I just saw Disney Pixar's "CoCo". That was a damn good movie. It was funny, surprising, sad and wonderful. Pinkie and I loved it. All I will tell you is that they did manage to get John Ratzenberger a brief cameo as a dead dentist. So his record of appearing in every single Pixar movie remains intact.
Needless to say, we highly recommend it. Bring tissues, you might cry.

Well, here it is. The eve of Thanksgiving 2017. Cake is in the oven, ham is in the fridge, and a turkey dinner waiting for pickup tomorrow at the IGA. As hokey as this sounds, I am thankful for a lot of stuff. My family, of course, my job, my friends, my opportunity to write stories and read the works of others. I am thankful my computer works. And I am thankful that I will be able to give Pinkie and my step daughter the Christmas they deserve.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday. I am 51 now. I had a cookout party and invited all my female friends. Only three were able to shoe up, but I enjoyed myself. I did an MLP party with a banner proudly displayed on the porch. My cake read "The Magic of Friendship" and I put my daughter's little plastic ponies on it too.

Well, my laptop is fixed. Unfortunately, they sent they sent the same broken cord back with it. Best Buy did not have a cord that fit so we had to call Samsung and get them to send us one. As of now, it has not arrived.

My husband is roughly three years younger than me. He is about my height, but he looks bigger than he really is. He dropped out of high school but got his GED and went to the local Tech College to get a degree in Accounting. He worked for some car dealerships and eventually came to work at the same place I was employed. A co-worker set us up. We dated, found we liked each other, and got married.

I drove through a blinding rain to take Pinkie Wannabe to see the new MLP movie. We were not disappointed. It was great! The story was good. The voices were great. The music was fun to listen to. I'm not offering any spoilers, but the idea of there being another race of creatures in the MLP Universe could make for interesting stories and episodes.
