So, the company I worked for decided to make some downsizing efforts, which affected an entire branch in my area. This did include me, and I received an email... which made it even worse that I read it on my phone while I was into a video game on my day off. Termination was effective today for all staff. I was emotional, yeah.

So, I saw the G5 special the day it came out on Netflix. Overall, it wasn't exactly great, but I think it laid some good groundwork for what we can see in later episodes. So, as the title of the post would suggest, there was a time when I did something that resulted in the formation of a new pond. One time when I was younger, we were on a camping trip in the Rocky Mountains (won't say the state), and the campground was right next to a wide creek. A little ways downstream, there was this large depression in the ground, with nothing but dry grass and a bunch of rocks, a short distance away from the creek and downhill.

So, I've taken time to come to terms with the events of last week. I've definitely gotten through the worst of it, and have more or less gotten back to how I was doing before. Granted, I still do miss our old dog, but I know that he lived a good long life, within the life expectancy of his breed, and I need to do the same. I know he wouldn't want me to be upset and down just because of him.

Well... it had to be done. It was kinder this way for him.

Given how much our dog, Hunter, has been suffering due to declining health over the past few months, it reached its worst point within the last few days, and today happened to be the day when we had him euthanized. Even if we didn't do it, he wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway, given that he wasn't eating anything we tried to give him.
