Update: Our other dog put down... · 3:30am Jan 26th, 2022

Well... it had to be done. It was kinder this way for him.

Given how much our dog, Hunter, has been suffering due to declining health over the past few months, it reached its worst point within the last few days, and today happened to be the day when we had him euthanized. Even if we didn't do it, he wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway, given that he wasn't eating anything we tried to give him.

At least he's not suffering anymore. And he definitely lived a good, long life for a dog of his breed. He was about thirteen-and-a-half years old as of today, his final day in this world. Wherever he goes from here, whether coming back as a new being, or transcending from known reality, I just hope everything is better for him.

Besides, I'm sure we've all lost someone important to us... especially since the start of the new decade. They may be gone, but we shouldn't let them be forgotten. I just need time to come to terms with this again, as usual. And it seems like Chloe, our new dog, is aware of what happened, and has just been laying around on her pillow, instead of being jumpy and energetic like she usually is. Hopefully, in time, she'll be back in good standing as well.

So, yeah. I just thought I'd fill you all in with what's been going on. I'll be sure to let you guys know when I've come to terms with this and am emotionally revitalized.

Here's hoping that you're back with your half-brother, Toby, wherever you are now.
