Life update: I got laid off from my job... but I had a stroke of luck · 2:46am Jan 26th, 2023
Hey everyone, just thought I'd let you all know what's been up with me lately.
So, the company I worked for decided to make some downsizing efforts, which affected an entire branch in my area. This did include me, and I received an email... which made it even worse that I read it on my phone while I was into a video game on my day off. Termination was effective today for all staff. I was emotional, yeah.
But it just so happened to be some lucky timing for me.
See, I was already looking for a new job, and just so happened to have one scheduled for today. The interview went well, and I should be hearing back from them on Monday, ideally. It'll be different than what I was previously doing, but now that I'm graduated, as long as it pays well, and is something that I can handle, I'm all for it.
So yeah, just thought I'd get you all up to speed on what's been up with me. It kinda sucks that I got laid off, even though I didn't really like my job. I'm sure things will be fine, though. I'll be sure to respond to PMs again once everything's been sorted out with my new job and life in general.
