Life update: I may have landed a promising career path · 6:56pm Feb 19th, 2023

Hey everyone, I decided to update you all on the matter I've been dealing with since the tail-end of January.

So, as many of you know, I got laid off from my job almost a month ago, and have been actively looking for work since then. I applied to many placed in my area, but got either no response or rejection emails. This was particularly frustrating after having just graduated with my Bachelor's degree. Eventually, however, I decided to apply for a position as a life and health insurance sales associate, and ultimately, they responded to my application quite promptly.

I won't go into too much detail, for the sake of anonymity for myself and the agency I applied to, but I will mention that it is a subsidiary of a holding company, the latter of which happens to be a Fortune 500 life insurance provider.

So, after a couple of interviews that went well, I'm now taking a course to become a licensed insurance sales associate in my state. I will be selling both life insurance and health insurance policies to prospective clients in my home state. What's interesting about this agency is that they have dedicated PR representatives who generate leads for us, meaning most of the potential clients I will be reaching out to are already interested in the agency's services. What I will need to do is reach out by phone, and schedule video teleconferences and make the final pitch as a gatekeeper for the sale.

I know insurance may not be the most exciting thing for many of you, but it does have the potential for high earnings. While commission-based, a steady weekly sale volume can rake in quite a bit of revenue, and even more with residual income you make on policies you've successfully sold. If I work extra hard, I have the potential to net in a six-figure income! :pinkiegasp:🤑:pinkiehappy: With this in mind, it seems the high life isn't quite so out of reach for me anymore. Of course, I will need to work extra hard for this to happen, but with such a prospect being possible, I'd be willing to do it.

My ultimate goal is to buy myself a mansion (or maybe even a castle! :rainbowlaugh:), and fund my indie publisher business for novels I officially publish and release. The latter will take priority, and if you're curious about which publisher or books they are, sorry, but I'd rather retain anonymity to protect my identity. And until such time as I make enough revenue to fund my desired lifestyle, I'll have no trouble living a modest, frugal lifestyle to save for it; a sort of "stealth wealth" living. Who knows, I may even be able to meet a lovely young women who will accept me as her partner. But I'm getting ahead of myself. :derpytongue2:

All that matters is that I'll surely have a new, potentially high-paying job soon, and may be able to finally live on my own, making my own way in this world. So yeah, I've found a new employer, which will hopefully be a better prospect than my previous minimum-wage job. And if any of you want the potential to make a six-figure annual commission, try insurance sales.

All in all, I'm sure things will be better for me.
