I had initially intended to take the Earth side of the story in a particular direction, but after posting chapter 9 where that direction was made more clear, it met with some criticism that, after some reflection, I realized had some very good points to make, and forced me to reconsider my approach.

I am pleased to report that I have finally started writing the new story.

It will still be a bit before I start posting. I want to get about five or six chapters done in draft form to make sure the story is flowing the way I want it. I did that with Second Chances, Many Changes and wound up rewriting the first chapter or two prior to posting. Plus with the holidays coming up and the family obligations to go along with it, I want a bit of a buffer.

Just wanted to let people know that I do intend to start another story. I had hoped to start around the beginning of October, but some of the things I needed to take care of around the house spilled over into October and really need my full attention. So it will be a few more weeks before anything is forthcoming. Meanwhile, I'll still be online just about every day if anyone wants to drop me a note or ask a question.

As many of you have noticed, I have finally set Second Chances, Many Changes to "completed." I very much enjoyed writing this story, and I look forward to writing more stories. However, I do need a bit of a break. This month I have a lot of home improvements that need to get done before Fall really sets in, and I need to work out exactly what I want to write next. I have several ideas in mind, but I want to see which one really clicks with me.
