Brief update · 4:11pm Oct 4th, 2016
Just wanted to let people know that I do intend to start another story. I had hoped to start around the beginning of October, but some of the things I needed to take care of around the house spilled over into October and really need my full attention. So it will be a few more weeks before anything is forthcoming. Meanwhile, I'll still be online just about every day if anyone wants to drop me a note or ask a question.

Will you ever do the story that was happening during the meeting that Candy was unaware of?
Can you give us an idea on what you're working on?
You could make a sequel to second chsnces or just a crack story with a SI being reborn as Cadance's daughter.

I might do something like that at some point as a supplement to the original story.
I also toyed with the idea of doing an expanded version of "The Talk" scene.
But these are more for future projects. I want to do something a little different for my next story or two.

I have several ideas that I'm toying with and still trying to decide which one to pursue. It's likely going to be another human-to-pony transformation story, but based more on Earth than Equestria, at least for the first part. I have one particular one I would love to do due to recent inspiration from other authors I've been reading on this site lately, but I'm still wrestling with how to structure the story.

Not sure I want to try my hand at crack stories yet
As for a sequel, that may happen some day if I get suitably inspired. Or perhaps a story about Cherry. She has a lot of character development potential at this point. As I said, I want to work on something else for a while before I consider coming back to this universe. I like having multiple projects to work on so I don't burn out on any one thing.

Those are always kind of difficult, because to really work on a character level, they usually involve keeping the entire situation secret by default. It really limits what you can do, because there isn't a lot you can really come up with there that wouldn't involve massive upheaval and/or getting shipped off to a government facility otherwise. Either the world changes so much it really is only Earth anymore in name or or you're restricted to a very small and inflexible setting for the characters to act in. That brings with itself a problem of making that kind of story very predictable - after seeing it done so often, the hidey-hidey kind of plot becomes a bit tired.
Still, I'm looking forward to seeing you write again and what you do with that idea.
