Happy Birthday, Pinkie Pie! · 4:09pm May 3rd, 2018
Today is Pinkie Pie's birthday, a date first confirmed by The Hub all the way back in 2012 (as a result of "A Friend in Deed" and when it aired).
I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

With last week's episode debuting a new writer, this week's episode is following suit. Kaita Mpambara penned this episode, having previously written for stuff like Ultimate Spider-Man (Kevin and Chris used to write for it, and now write for the 2017 cartoon that is a much better product). With the focus being on Princess Celestia, who got a ton of development last season, and last week's episode being debatable in quality (from a character, moral, and visual perspective it was pretty
After two weeks worth of lackluster episodes, this episode has a lot to do to get Season 8 back on track. This episode features the debut of the first new writer of the season, Brian Hohlfeld. He's written for a variety of shows before, but his most noticeable was working alongside Nicole Dubac to create Transformers: Rescue Bots (which is getting a spin-off series later this year). A show that, while it had the same animation studio as this show, utilized LA voice talent (including
Yes yes, the title is definitely a surprising one for the show. Anyway, G. M. Berrow's writing this episode, and her track record for the show is... mixed to put lightly. "The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows" is the very definition of a fun episode even if there were some questionable moments towards the end, "Fluttershy Leans In" was just there for lack of a better term and the moral I still have mixed feelings on, and "Daring Done?" was great from a character standpoint but the story while great
It's been a long time since I did a comics review, the last one was all the way back in December, just after Christmas. And it's been almost half a year (maybe longer) since I covered an issue of the Legends of Magic series, which aside from an annual slated for release this month, is done (it's apparently going to be replaced by a five part series related to the "Ponyville Mysteries" books). As always, the review begins with a retrospective.
I didn't opt to update the rankings until now because Season 7 and the movie did not affect my overall rankings of the five princesses that existed up to that point. But since then, there's one new princess from the movie, one from the comics, and technically another that hasn't been talked about much. So the list warranted an update. Here's the third version, from the end of Season 6. Time to see what changed, and
Well, now I've reviewed the movie, it's only natural that the reformations ranking be updated. But there's been a couple other reformations to consider. Including one I'm very reluctantly including here despite my absolute detesting of it. Here's the previous version, from the end of Season 7, the only rule is I'm not including the reformation of any comics exclusive villains. And as
We covered the characters, now it's time to cover the songs of the movie. I will not be counting the ponyfication of "We Got The Beat", because it's not an original song composed for the movie (and in my opinion it's a pretty lazy way to open the movie, what would've been wrong with an instrumental opening?). That means there's a total of seven songs to count. And obviously, the rankings are a reflection of my personal opinion. So don't get upset if a song you really liked is low on the list,
Season 8's been getting off to a strong start so far, but now we've got an episode penned by Josh Hamilton! You may remember last season that Hamilton's name was attached to duds like "Parental Glideance" (which gave us filler scenes we didn't need, instead of important scenes we did need), "Triple Threat" (which thought it could mask a "Spike Screws Up" episode with Spike being called by the map), and the episode that surpassed "The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000" as my least favorite
The movie introduced quite a few new characters to us. Some more memorable than others. And now it's time to rank them, all nine of them, from worst to best.
Needless to say, this list is the result of my personal opinion. Chances are you're going to feel differently about some of the rankings than I do. But like all my rankings, this one is not official by any means. You're free to disagree, so long as you respect my opinion. Now let's begin.
