So, over the last few months, I've been dedicating a lot of hours to this one story. It started out as an arc in Horse People, one that likely wouldn't see the light of day for many months to come, but as the story progressed, it became rather self contained and it got me thinking. What if this wasn't part of the canon? What if this could be a B-canon (like the comics) side story?
Yup. I'm finally ready to put out the first part. Been pushing it back for a while, making little tweaks here and there as this story has been rather evasive to write, but I think I'm finally ready for the first chapter. No set time on when the other chapters will be out, just whenever I find the time, and not all at once.
We all know VR is inevitable and games like Sword Art Online, .Hack, and all other derivatives will be soon to follow. But you want to know what would be super awesome? Retro VR. Why play SAO when you could instead go back and play a universally acclaimed classic from our collective childhood, like Jak and Daxter? You'd be able to collect orbs, channel eco, and punch boxes! But more than that, what if you could do all that and more? What if you felt that Sandover village was too small and in
Sorry to do this, but I'm just so excited. While I should point out it's still going to be an unknown number of months before they're published on this site, I recently finished the fourth chapter of the Discord arc. And, gotta say, I'm stoked. I mean I've been on fire these last couple days. Roughly 18,000 words written in just two days across nine chapters. That's gotta be a personal best for me.
Horse People is, first and foremost, a slice of life story (even though I'd initially forgotten to include that tag on first publishing). I've got ideas for sub plots and bigger things here and there, but it's mostly these guys just going through their daily lives, routines, and generally inventing activities with which to keep themselves occupied. That said, I find myself at a bit of a loss with the latest onset of writer's block.
I'm not announcing I'm doing anything especially different. I'm just pointing out what should be obvious. The story that we have now is nothing like what was started. Really, I had no idea this thing would take off as it had. However, there was just so much positive feedback that I felt compelled to give my audience what they wanted.
As a show of appreciation for all you fine readers, I thought I'd grant a little teaser of events to come. Specifically, the new mares who will be applying to join the harem. More specifically, their boobs, because raisins.
I have ADD. It's next to impossible for me to sit down and commit to any significant amount of writing on my own. To that end, I used aderal as something of a writing crutch. One good pill and I average about 4,000 words in one sitting. However, my insurance is screwing me over and I might not be able to get the stuff as frequently as I do now, 30 pills for about 3 months. So, to those of you who like my writing, especially Horse People, do you think you'd be willing to pitch in on my Patreon?
So I thought it'd be fun to embrace the story's slice of life element by writing a sleepover story, and what would such a story be without the classic game of truth or dare? That's what I thought, until I actually started writing it. The whole point is to get everyone to embarrass themselves by doing stupid stuff or confessing secrets. After hitting my first roadblock, I turned to the internet for some fun questions and dares, but none were to my liking. Thing is, with the culture I've set up,
